In late February, the British singer-songwriter Benedict Cork posted a snippet of himself playing a soulful new song. A few days later, Cork started receiving messages about the song’s release—which was odd, because he hadn’t finished it yet. Eventually, someone sent him the song, which was on streaming platforms under someone else's name. This version of his song had been created with AI. Someone had seen Cork’s snippet, and, trying to capitalize on its virality, ran it through an AI music generator and posted the result in order to generate streams. Cork is one of a growing number of musicians facing increased competition or outright theft from AI music generators. Some musicians contend that AI is helping to democratize the creation of music. But many musicians fear the entire industry is sliding towards prioritizing machine-made slop, making it increasingly hard for rising or independent musicians to make a living. Tech correspondent Andrew Chow explains the growing world of AI music slop. Read more here: time-magazine.visitlink.me/jvIAnR

Thank you for finally releasing your decision on our decade-long legal battle, @SCPh_PIO! This win is not just for us in TAG, but for everyone in the Philippine media industry. We hope this leads to better woking conditions not only in GMA, but in every media outfit.

The Supreme Court rules in favor of the Talents Association of GMA (TAG), declaring 94 talents as regular employees and 50 as illegally dismissed. A historic win after an 11-year legal battle. Read our statement here: buhaymedia.wordpress.com/2026/01/24/sta…

When the wig budget says no, creativity says yes! Cosplay wigs cost more than you might think! That’s why some cosplayers look for other ways to get the look they want, using old wigs, cheaper finds, or simple DIY hacks. #TopArtforLess

@imtheatan It almost sounds like condescending and victim-blaming ("You had all years to oppose..."). I do get your point and it's perfectly valid; but you could have said it with more nuance and consideration of your kababayans.

@imtheatan This is tone-deaf and poorly worded. To describe everyone as "ganging up on Slater Young" is not only overgeneralizing but also insensitive to the feelings of the people, especially typhoon victims, who have all the right to their emotions.

Why is everyone suddenly ganging up on Slater Young as if he single-handedly flooded Cebu? You all had years to oppose Monterrazas, but you didn’t stop that development. Now that Cebu was underwater, everyone is acting woke and outraged. I don’t even care about Slater Young or his greed and ambition; but why do people think this disaster started with him? It didn’t. Cebu’s flood problem has been years in the making, thanks to government neglect of the environment, greedy developers, corrupt DPWH officials, etc. Why scapegoat one man when the entire system is rotten? If you really want accountability, don’t just attack one person who is prominent on social media. Look into the corrupt government officials and the DPWH engineers, the proponents of those flood control projects who made at least 20% kickbacks, and those who issued permits that shouldn’t have been signed in the first place. These people made hundreds of millions in S.O.P.s and kickbacks while ordinary Cebuanos watched their homes and cars drown in the flood.

Two Cork drag queens were assaulted on the street and left bloodied during the Cork Jazz Festival in Douglas whilst minding their own business and making a video. Two little thugs were arrested, and a knife was seized by Gardai. One of theme was later handed a court date. Both have very interesting "histories". If you watch this and think "im not a drag queen or gay so this doesn't effect me" you're dead wrong. Because this is a great litmus test of how safe a society is. When innocent people are attacked on video, by hateful degenerates as people laugh, then your loved ones city just got a little less safe.

Hi CJ Gesmundo, since you said there are now efficiencies and innovations to speed up processes, maybe you can now act on GMA’s SC Petition for Review on Certiorari (G.R. No. 250673 / CA G.R. SP No. 144572) that has been pending in the high court since Jan. 20, 2020. @buhaymedia
