There is no place for hate in Manitoba. This weekend, Shaarey Zedek Synagogue and Habibiz Cafe were targeted with vandalism, graffiti, and threatening messages rooted in antisemitism and anti-Palestinian racism, meant to intimidate communities. The antisemitic graffiti at Shaarey Zedek was an attack on the Jewish community and on all Manitobans. The threats made to Habibiz Cafe offend all of us as Manitobans and are against what we stand for as a province. When a place of worship or a local family business is targeted, it puts the safety of our province at risk. We will continue to work with police services and prosecutors to apply the full force of the law, combat hate crimes, and ensure the safety of Manitobans.

In September, Manitoba added 5,300 new jobs — the third-highest job growth in Canada.🇨🇦 More Manitobans working means more families thriving. When people have good jobs, life gets more affordable.

For the first time in Manitoba’s history, a former premier has been fined $18,000 for breaking the law. Respecting democracy means respecting the will of the people — and that’s what was broken. We honour those who fought for our democracy by protecting its integrity. 🇨🇦

NEW VICTORIA EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT TO START CONSTRUCTION IN JANUARY 2026 🚑 The PCs shut it down, we’re opening it up. In just 2 years, we’ve added 3,397 net new health-care workers and we’re restoring emergency services for families in south Winnipeg.

In 2023, we ran on fixing healthcare. Two years later, we’re continuing to deliver. This announcement’s a big deal for South Wpg. We all want to know that care is there for us and our families when we need it, where we need it. This is a major step to ensuring that reality.
