I know it's most likely that stupid timer on the Fallout TV website is probably counting down to something incredibly underwhelming like behind-the-scenes footage or another bit of Vegas-themed-CC for Fallout 4 or something, BUT WHO KNOWS, MAYBE IT'LL ACTUALLY BE SOMETHING GOOD.

Funnily enough, I'm fine with House randomly putting on a dumb hat without explanation, because House is supposed to be a bit weird.
He's literally based on Howard Hughes, and in game we know he's delighted by snow globes, and scans movie stars' brains to make robot girlfriends.

He has predictions that can identify events as they happen, and seemingly can predict the end of the world to the day or possibly minute, but he doesn't know HOW the world ends, just WHEN...?
... So is his prediction machine sentient? How did it know the minute a baby was born?

Ehh, I don't really love how House is written in Fallout Season 2.
Writing 'the cleverest person in the world' is always difficult as it's asking writers to write a character who is vastly smarter than they are, but even then I find this take on House as a futurist weird.

@ManyATrueNerd There could be many different reasons for the inclusion of casual incest, it makes sense. But for the last decade or more, I've seen in the future, could be 50+ years from now, that instead of LGBT, race etc being hit political issues, incest will be one. Heck in the US it is

On the other hand, one thing I love about Fallout Season 2 (and 1 as well) is how they make Vault Dwellers really bloody weird.
Vault Dwellers 100% should be weird - like Vault City, or the Boomers - and Vault 31 is really bloody weird, if only for the level of casual incest.

@ManyATrueNerd Wait I don't know why it took this long to click in my head. But the show mentioned the Brotherhood in the Commonwealth being in charge or something like that. In Fallout 4 isn't any ending other than the Brotherhoods, the Brotherhood is taken out?

Some of level of fragmentation in the west was almost inevitable - New Vegas is extremely clear that the Legion had a good chance of disintegrating if Caesar died, and the NCR was repeatedly shown to be bloated, corrupt, and on the verge of decline.

@ManyATrueNerd This is one of the most interesting things fallout can do post 4 imo Give us an NCR civil war, Legion warbands fighting to replace Caesar, the brotherhood clashing over hiding away like they do in NV vs branching out to "fix" the wasteland ala 3 and 4

I quite like that the Fallout TV series deals with the issue that every game has wanted to include the Brotherhood, so there's now chapters bloody everywhere, by overtly acknowledging that messy reality, and thus suggesting re-unification would potentially be a major issue.

What concerns me about the future of Bethesda games most of all is that they seem to increasingly be viewing their games not as holistic crafted pieces of art, but instead as a mere platform through which they can endlessly shovel out paid content they didn't even bother to make.
