i don’t know, there are many ways already to voice criticism. just respect the time and place? comments in ao3 aren’t the time and place if a writer doesn’t tell you to critique them in their notes. the same applies to this hellsite..

if you want to critically discuss fanfic, do it with your friends, in dedicated discord groups, in gc’s.. become a beta reader and voice your critique there, work with a writer on their style etc.

fanworks are a different ‘genre’ than literature that went through a whole publishing process. why should it be treated the same way we treat published literature then? it can be an art form nonetheless.
