I think more teams should move to royalty protected contracts Chimpers announced their migration a week ago, and half of their NFTs have migrated. Very impressive tbh, and heartening. I think higher value NFT collections see more risk in trying to mandate this though. And it helps to have a sizable carrot to incentivize. Have always felt that the best time to do this would be a token airdrop. Like if Moonbirds holders were able to claim their full BIRB allo day 1, but they would have to move to a royalty enforcing contract as part of the claim. Could even make part of the royalties go to buying back the native token, since trading happens on ETH denominated in ETH and not the native token.
