@1in5awareness You don’t need a thousands of dollar assessment to recommend a reading program at school. Because cognitive test scores are not able to predict which program will work better to teach reading skills. Why not advocate that these neuropsychs lower their cost to be affordable?

@MTSScenter I’d need to know how you are defining cost/time. Compared to what? Special education evaluations?

Theoretically, MTSS should lead to significant cost/time savings given evidence that it increases planning time, prevents the need for more costly intervention services, and promotes streamlined processes. But it isn't happening in some sites. Why do you think this is?

Out of curiosity Matt, were the groups of tier 2 students and sped students equal in this study? In my district our sped kids are grouped my grade level which means sometimes up to six kids in a group.

I know there are others that have trouble sleeping when there's a fast change of climate/season/temperature out there. What do you do to manage it? I'm going crazy!! 🙃🤤
