Ever wonder what happens between hitting "save" on a discount and it showing up on your storefront?
This is LIVE behind the scenes - syncing @Shopify discounts, fanning out collection discounts right down to the product level, writing metafields, & keeping your storefront components up to date!
You'll notice a new LIVE sync status at the bottom of your dashboard. It shows exactly what LIVE is doing in real time.
Zero API calls. Zero latency. Just works.

Last week, we got together as a team at @heymantle and built apps with @Lovable using Mantle's Foundations MCP. Everybody on the team built an app in ~30 minutes – even our grumpy finance guy begrudingly obliged (love you Dan).
It's actually crazy.
I've been slowly working through Techtonic speaker and sponsor recruitment, and mostly keeping this organized in spreadsheets but it's been unruly.
I was able to oneshot a conference management platform including speaker and sponsor pipelines, document management, topic assignment, slide management, schedule generation across multiple tracks and venues... Everything else that I need.
But the part that blew my mind the most was the @heymantle part. I just kept integrating more and more of Mantle with simple requests. No follow up. Mantle billing? Done in a prompt. Hosted billing? There it is, integrated in to the app. Mantle Pixel for event tracking? Done.
My Mantle dashboard is a little lonely as a single-user app, but if I ever wanted to turn this in to a business... I could.
I don't think anyone's _actually_ going to pay $7900/month for my top tier plan, but they could if they wanted to, and that's amazing.

Most billing systems force you into an awkward choice: if you want to let a customer trial a higher plan, you have to move them off their current plan. That means you stop billing them while they evaluate.
Sure, you could manually toggle features on and off for them, but then you have to keep track and remember to turn them off or built out a system to manage it.
That's a bad trade, so we built the system for you.
Enter: Trial Features. Now you can grant temporary access to any set of features — regardless of what plan a customer is on — without touching their subscription.
Define a bundle of features, set an expiry (or don't), and apply it to any customer in a few clicks. Their plan stays the same. Their billing stays the same. They just get access to more.
Use it to let customers try before they upgrade. Use it to save a churning customer by showing them what they'd lose. Use it as a support gesture when someone's frustrated. Use it to run a beta with a handful of customers before you roll a feature into a plan.
We built this for ourselves to help us roll out, track, and control the Mantle Pro beta, and now we've released it for everyone.

Wrapping up what has turned into quite a Flows week at Mantle with even more ways to customize email content from inside flows..
We’ve supported liquid variables in Mantle Email since say one, so if all you’re trying to do is include a unique name or piece of data… That’s always been easy.
Now, you can set and store variables at the flow level, and drop those variables anywhere you want in your emails, replacing individual words or whole content sections.
Use this to simplify email template management by using the same template for multiple types of notifications, or tweak your tone in an email based on positive or negative outcomes of the flow conditions.

We promised more Flow improvements, and here we are.
As Mantle users have built out increasingly advanced Flows, they’ve always asked to be able to use them for even more things.
Beyond your typical reactive Flows, mantle now supports manual kickoff or scheduling of flows, perfect for tasks that need to be run regularly.
Weekly scoring of all customer accounts based on your custom criteria? Easy.
Batch update of a new tag replacing an old tag? Simple.
Friday morning Slack updates of must successful customers this week? Done.
Think: Cron jobs for ops and marketing – available now.

Flows are crazy – they make it easy to build incredibly complex sequences that keep both marketing and operations moving seamlessly.
As easy as they are to build… They’ve been that hard to test. As flow complexity increases, it can be harder and harder to find issues in how the overlapping triggers and conditions might be missing things.
What started off as an internal tool to ease our own customer support is now built in to the product so you can build Flows stress free.
Enter: Flow Debugger.
It’s easy: build your flow, and then investigate a specific customer account. Quickly see based on that customers attributes whether they would have triggered each step of the flow and – importantly – why or why not.
No more wasted time or missed opportunities.
And to make Flows even more powerful… Well, stay tuned.

We know the Shopify ecosystem didn’t invent partnerships, but it feels like Partnerships are more foundational to growth there than nearly anywhere else.
And part of building a healthy network of partners is making sure your partners are happy. Growing their business, getting them what they need, making sure they get paid… Mantle Affiliates has helped you help them with all of it.
Today, we’ve shipped a new dashboard experience for your partners. What used to be a fairly simple experience now gives your partners everything they need to understand their business, not just with you but with every partner they work with through Mantle Affiliates.
Viewing their upcoming commissions, total attributed revenue, keeping track of referrals, how much app listing traffic they’re driving, conversion rates through a funnel, and more.
Stay tuned later this week for even more Affiliates improvements.

New year, new features 💛
This is a big one for our global users: Timezones.
Mantle's reports have always run on UTC. It seemed like a sensible default – and it is – but we've also heard from customers that they want more control.
Lots of business operators want to know things like how many installs they got today – like today-today, today for them, not 12:00:00 AM UTC - 11:59:59 PM UTC. Now that's possible.
This should make it easier to get your data in a form that makes sense to you, and can resolve some questions about why you might have different answers coming from different tools.
This might sound like a small thing, but it was actually a fair bit of work. We hope it's helpful.
(editor's note: if you've been missing us, we didn't run out of stuff to ship – @blairbeckwith was just shaking the rust off from the holidays)

We're marching steadily towards the release of Help Desk and Sales (our CRM product) at @heymantle, and they're going to be part of a new tier called Mantle Pro (get in touch if you want early access)
And they're incredible products, but Mantle Pro also includes a few other things that I think are going to actually blow people's brains wide open. Watching the pace that our team has been able to work at over the last couple of months is insane.
On top of building actual intelligent and useful AI product in to Mantle, we're building internal tools that could be meaningful companies on their own.
Like so many people in tech, I've occasionally lusted after some post-tech life where I open a book store or some shit. I had that thought from probably 2017-2023. No more, not now. This is the most exciting time in my career.

It's too easy to jump from "of course email marketing works" to "let's not measure email marketing if we're going to do it anyways" – especially when moving from simply tracking faulty open rates to actual actions taken.
So many links, so many CTAs – who has the time to add the appropriate parameters to each one? You need to know what converts and what doesn't, but manually adding complex URL parameters to every single link in a campaign is easy-to-dismiss busywork. It’s cumbersome, annoying, and prone to human error.
Mantle now has automatic URL parameters on a per-email basis – define your parameters once, and Mantle keeps track of making sure that every link in that message is properly tagged so you can measure CTAs, understand traffic sources, and monitor performance.
No more grunt work.

Usage metrics form the backbone of product analytics and usage-based billing in Mantle.
Until now, you could view this data broadly via app-wide reports, or narrowly through a single customer’s profile. But as your app scales, you need to bridge the gap between the two.
Introducing the Usage Metric Customers report.
Now, you can visualize usage per customer and see exactly how those individuals add up to your aggregate usage.
Specify segments, define time windows, and set comparison periods. Watch your usage trends adjust day-by-day and week-by-week, looking back as far as you need to.
See the details. Understand the trends.

Flows power automation throughout the Mantle platform – by combining triggers, conditions, and actions, you're able to not only automate your marketing but also ease operational burden throughout your workflows.
Today, we've bundled up a bunch of flow improvements to make creating powerful automations easier. We've added:
🎁 The ability to add descriptive names to each step in a flow, making long, complicated flows with many steps easier to parse at a glance and make it easier to identify where a change or addition needs to be made
🎄 "Flow action completed" as a trigger, enabling you to build seamless flows that progress conditionally based on the results of previous steps
🌟 Subscription period end relativity conditions, allowing you to provide updates to customers about their usage – or anything else – prior to their next bill
🕎 "On trial" conditions so you can drive adoption and activation campaigns to your leads
🎅 An internal notification email action so you have more channels to alert your team through when important flow steps are triggered
☃️ Bundle discount conditions, account manager assignment conditions, and more!

There's two ways to make more money as an app developer: get more users, or earn more revenue per user. If you've got multiple apps, increasing ARPU just got a lot easier.
This one is crazy: Bundles.
We worked alongside a couple of our favourite partners to build what we think is going to change the game for all of our multiple-app customers.
Build and deploy incentivized campaigns to drive multi-app adoption across your portfolio.
It's easy: define which apps should be part of the bundle, which plans on those apps are eligible, which segments of customers qualify, and what the discount should be.
Customers that meet the eligibility requirements are automatically given the discount, in either the form of either App Credits or a direct discount on their subscription fees. And when they fall out of eligibility? Discount instantly revoked, no work on your side at all.
Our design partners on Bundles have seen tens of thousands of bundle discounts redeemed and hundreds of thousands of dollars in MRR attributed to bundles in just a few months.
What are you waiting for?
