Je dobre nakupovat akcie po IPO? K IPO CSG, respektive k IPO vseobecne. Nakupovat akcie kratko po vstupe na burzu nie je celkovo pre nas retail moc dobry napad. Velka cast z z nich je po prvom roku v strate a vykonnost prve roky nebyva nic moc. Obrazok dole ukazuje hodnoty firiem pri IPO (sivy stlpec) a nasledne hodnoty firiem k 13.3.2023 (modry stlpec). Ano, je to starsi obrazok a mala vzorka firiem, avsak data za dlhsie obdobie hovoria nieco podobne. Niektore vyskumy hovoria o tom, ze priemerny vynos za prvy rok je niekde medzi 3 az 7 %. Velka cast akcii vsak rastie alebo klesa vyrazne viac ako je priemer, teda rozptyl vynosov je vacsi, zhruba dve tretiny firiem vsak zaostavaju za trhom. Pri IPO maju vyhodu skor institucionalni investori, ktori sa k akciam dostanu za lepsiu cenu. Ak pozerame na otvaraciu cenu, ku ktorej sa dostane retail, tak su proste vynosy slabsie. IPO su tiez samozrejme vyhodne pre majitelov firiem kedze sa robia vacsinou vtedy, ked im situacia na trhu praje. Mam tiez taky subjektivny dojem, ze cim viac hypeu okolo IPO je (CSG, Figma), tym horsi vysledok nakoniec bude.

@jnStehlik @jacobtechtavern Do you mean a single *sync* function in the actor? The issue with making it async is each suspension point introduces the possibility of a data race from other threads that might wiggle in and read state in the middle of a transaction.

@jacobtechtavern I think you're focusing on the wrong trend. The risk is not just that Apple gives up on SwiftUI, the risk is that everyone will give up on UI. If computing is heading towards hardware+OS+agents+CLIs, there is little room for frontend and shiny new apps.

Is Apple giving up on SwiftUI? Maybe: Mastodon went wild recently over a rumour shared by Steve Troughton-Smith: “I have heard that SwiftUI has been losing political capital, and credibility, internally at Apple because it has repeatedly failed to meet software engineering goals, and needs. It’s no longer thought of as the clear default choice for new stuff. That might explain why it was deemphasized at WWDC compared to the past few years.” Spicy stuff. I look forward to the next edition of "Apple’s internal use of SwiftUI" by Alexandre Colucci. We can cross-reference whether this rumour is substantiated by seeing whether the SwiftUI usage has plateaued across the internal iOS binaries. I use .frame(in: .scrollView) to read a scroll view offset and show/hide a title. But I observe a jump in the offset if the content extends below the safe area (when there's no View above). Does adding the title change the frame I read? Should it? Code: gist.github.com/alpennec/388b1…
