This morning I shared the cost of making books with the kids. They asked, "How do you even make any money?" ME: "That's my secret, kids, I don't make money."

Looking forward to seeing Sinners this weekend. I love director-writers like Ryan Coogler, Ava DuVernay and Jordan Peele’s unapologetic centering of blackness in their works, & their freedom to create what they want, HOW they want. As someone who writes such stories I’m inspired.

I noticed my glasses did a perfect anime glare affect during a virtual meeting, so I had to take a picture afterwards and update my profile photo. 😂 🕶️ Anyways I’m still alive and well.

Presenting Audrey III. A new member of my plant fam. Saw the near dead Venus flytrap at the grocery store for cheap. I added some distilled water, put it near a sun facing window with some fruit fly infested plants & it grew a couple new heads. Check on me sometimes, in case…

Do what you gotta to save your sanity in these online spaces. Ignore, block, unfollow… Tolerance towards intolerant gaslighting folk only hurt you in the end. Don’t engage with folk hiding behind a screen whose only goal is to break you down.

The kids and I spent all of yesterday shooting their small film about a balloon that terrorized them when they were little, that Baby Girl named Chip. We had so much fun and I will spend some time editing it. Until it's live here's a tease. 😂

Can somebody please tell me why my kids are singing that they “have a structured settlement and they need cash now…”? That J.G. Wentworth jingle writer better be getting royalties.
