Important à comprendre concernant les invasions aryennes qui ont inauguré l’âge du bronze en Europe : la diffusion s’est faite par sauts, avec débordement successif dans l’espace vital du voisin de proche en proche et périodes stables avec échanges de femmes, la nouvelle population formée prenant le relais ensuite (importance de l’espace tampon que constitue la culture de la céramique cordée en Europe centrale.)
Ce n’est pas une équipe de casses-cous qui a traversé le continent comme une flèche en tuant tout le monde et en se constituant des harems à la Conan le Barbare pendant que leur famille était restée dans les steppes.
Mon haplogroupe maternel vient aussi des yamnayas et c’est loin d’être le seul.

The Proto-Geometric and the Greek Dark Ages
The Geometric Period signals an uptick in Greek Activity after the Collapse of Mycenaean Civlization, with compass-drawn Geometric Pottery, showing an increase in sophistication despite the loss of Palatial Centers and Writing.
Cremation becomes the dominant burial form, starkly contrasted to the previous Inhumations of the Mycenaean. Iron starts appearing especially in the grave goods, and graves start to be more richly fournished than in the Submycenaean.
There is a recovery in Settlement-Density and growth in population compared to the previous period, however it still does not match the incredibly dense and urbanized Late Helladic IIIB durin the Peak Mycenaean.
The Proto-Geometric likely represents the Doric Domination over the Achaeans (and infact, a slight exclusivity between Submycenaean and Proto-Geometric sites is visible.)

The Ruins of Mycenaean Civilization: The Submycenaean, Covering a short phase between 1100-1000bc, is the very last gasp of Mycenaean art and civilization, and the initiation of the Greek Dark Ages. Writing had been Forgotten, Palaces were Abandoned, the incredibly rich Chamber Tombs of hte preceding period were replaced by more impoverish and simple Shaft Graves, and Wide-spread iron use is Introduced. Interestingly, the Submycenean has an unbroken Continuity at Athens back to the LHIIIb, possibly being the last major center of the Mycenaean Civilization before becoming a vital part of the Proto-Geometric Phase of the Greek Dark Ages. The Submycenaean Pottery exists contemporary to the Proto-Geometric Pottery, and might therefore represent the last Achaeans and their Settlements before the majority of them become Dorianized during the Geometric period.

The Late Helladic in its earliest Phase in 1700-1600bc.
The LHI is Distinguished from the preceding Middle Helladic period by a increase of wealth and social stratification. While the Middle Helladic was characterized by relatively simple cist burials, LH I saw the rise of a powerful warrior elite who utilized deep shaft graves filled with gold, bronze weaponry, and prestige goods.
This phase is further differentiated by the heavy influence of Minoan artistic styles and the introduction of lustrous painted pottery, part of a shift from largely isolated local traditions toward a highly organized palatial society.
