There has been an undeniable shift in momentum in the war against terror. Is Nigeria winning the war on terror? Technical YES. But remember even a terrorist organization that is demoralized still has the capacity to hit soft targets and make headlines.
Hundreds of insurgents have been wiped out and top level commanders killed in recent weeks. Boko Haram/ISWAP is taking losses beyond their ability to recuperate, making it impossible for them to carry out large scale attacks like they used to. Their freedom to operate has fallen dramatically since the NAF ramped up targeted airstrikes. They don't even have the time to bury their dead. Their camps in the Lake Chad, Sambisa forest and the Mandara mountains have been subjected to almost daily air strikes.
Thanks to a reinvigorated Nigerian air power and the disruption of their command structure, they are unable to relax and carry out attacks with the same thoroughness.
While its good to acknowledge these successes, the war is far from over, and tomorrow could still bring another attack. But there is a clear shift in momentum. The terrorists no longer hold the initiative. The Nigerian military, spearheaded by relentless air operations, has seized the tempo and is pressing the fight across the board.

@CspIniedu I regularly visit the Anjorin Police Post in Lawanson—built and donated by my father—to show my support and honor his legacy.

This boy and his two friends kidnapped a neighbor’s child and demanded a 30 million naira ransom.
The boy who entered the house to pick up the child was well known and trusted by the family, which gave him easy access. After abducting the child, they handed him over to a notorious criminal known as “Catchfire” in the Kabala-Nariya axis of Kaduna demanding a 30 million naira ransom.

We'll come to you when we're done with real wild animals.
We don't even know whether you're wild or domestic. While other animals with balls run and hunt, you look for eggs to steal. When you're unable to get, you run to human dwellings and go through their trash. Zero dignity!
You're supposed to be a wild predator but here you are falling prey to a domestic animal. You're nothing but a glorified rat!🫵🏾

@OluwatobiAjayiJ If we fix the judiciary and the police, we solve a major part of our problems—because accountability and rule of law are the foundation of any functioning society
English

We have to fix our judiciary to ensure that criminals and people who act wrongly, especially knowingly, are properly punished.
Let me share a story.
Sequel to repeated requests by a dealer in Abuja to sell our vehicles, I entrusted about a dozen Nord vehicles to him. This dealer went ahead to sell one of the vehicles without our knowledge and without remitting the proceeds to us. A brand new 55 million NGN bus.
I reported the matter to the Police. I was advised to take it to court and obtain an order for recovery, as they know the dealer well, and he is well known to them for these scams. They expected he would offer to pay in instalments and then habitually default.
As advised, I filed the case in November 2024. Since then, his lawyer has continued to employ different delay tactics, which, sadly, are working.
Last year, another dealer attempted the same thing. This time, I involved the Police directly, and the vehicle was recovered immediately.
We cannot keep watching people steal and defame others, and simply tell those wronged to go to court for only civil recourse when there are clear criminal elements involved.
We have to fix the judiciary. Let’s ensure cases reach judgment faster, and delay tactics are severely punished. We have to encourage good behaviour and discourage bad ones.
People with poor character are exploiting our judiciary.
