@Bokman_Dufy14 Ey bra, call the guy a shocking human or a bad person all you want. I would probably agree. But to jump on this with so much passion is a bit of a reach. Would people's reactions to this be different if it was someone else? Kane Williamson for example?
English

@joakes_4 I guess for me, morally I think it's shocking, it's one thing trying to get into batsmen head with abuse, or even players getting close but to start messing with the batters area doesn't sit well with me.
And you know I don't play anymore so I'm out of date 🙂
English

Surely this is going to end up in some kind of ban or suspension

Tried all tricks including Steve Smith trying to remove Pant's batting guard marks from the crease. Par kuch kaam na aaya. Khaaya peeya kuch nahi, glass toda barana. But I am so so proud of the effort of the Indian team today. Seena chonda ho gaya yaar.
English

@Bokman_Dufy14 Possibly. I'm not condoning what he did. It's a bit childish, but I don't think it's outright cheating. I think the abuse he's getting is unnecessary, and is mainly coming from people who don't even play. Those who have should look at themselves first before they throw shade.
English

@joakes_4 Spirit of the Game probably, similar to guys who get fined for abuse
And well it was the cameras that got him in trouble the last time round, so he does have to be more careful than I would have in the past
English

@Bokman_Dufy14 Calling for a ban on someone doing something similar to things you've overlooked or taken part of in the past is a bit hypocritical don't you think? Especially if there's no law against it, and with your understanding of the professional game.
English

@joakes_4 Match referee possibly, and that's true... This is similar to us walking on the wicket between overs or bowlers trying to scuff up the wicket for the spinners... We know what we doing and its not right, and there can be penalties for those things
English

@Bokman_Dufy14 Spirit of the game goes out the window very quickly when overly competitive people want to win. You know this, you've seen this, you've probably done this. Who's gonna fine him??
English

@joakes_4 From my POV, he removed the did it in hopes Pant would not notice where his guard is, and we know how that can make a difference when batting.
In the laws of the game, he'll be safe... But spirit of the game vibes might catch him out... Maybe not a suspension or ban, but a fine
English

@Bokman_Dufy14 Personal morals/ethics differ from person to person. You may think this is deplorable, but it is not against the rules. As long as he's not affecting the actual pitch, I don't see a problem. I would personally be annoyed as a batsman, but that's why he did it right?
English

@joakes_4 Jason, would you as a fielder ever go and remove a batsmen's guard? If a batsmen takes guard 23 times, that's his area and it's on him
But no fielder should ve changing that area unless batter asks him to make a mark for him
You would be okay if an opposition fielder did that?
English

@tyron_koen @Bokman_Dufy14 @tafaramupariwa Think you'll find that Liverpool get waaaay more touches in the box
English

@Bokman_Dufy14 @tafaramupariwa @joakes_4 But we not using any excuses... Good teams get into the box more often Zodwa we know this 😉
English

@joakes_4 Yeah, last thing you want is Ox with another breakdown
He still owes us 2 champions league stunners
