@aditiitwt Similar to those who read 10-20 books in a month, it’s not to learn anything or apply to their life, it’s just for the sake of doing it and bragging on the internet

What’s the point of building 30 apps in 30 days if you can’t pull a single paying user?

@Dominus_Kelvin @JoAmps10 Same. You need have a different paystack account for each country you want to support. I initially thought the acquisition was for us to have access to stripe through paystack but I realized it wasn’t the case. It was for paystack to rather expand

I am curious why Paystack couldn’t bring Stripe to African creators like Paga did with PayPal 🥹

@JoAmps10 Stripe is a more trusted and easily recognized payment processor especially if you are selling globally Sometimes Paystack for some reason fails to bill certain US cards I can keep going on

These takes are always so funny. If you can build a business with an AI tool in an afternoon as you say, why would anyone pay for your business, when they can also do the exact same thing by dinnertime?
Alex Finn@AlexFinn

I think 90% of jobs are eliminated in the next 15 years But I don't even think that's a bad thing People are going to soon realize they can download Claude Code, put in a few prompts, and start their own business in an afternoon They're going to voluntarily leave their jobs when they realize this Why spend 40 hours a week getting whipped by a boss who's taking advantage of you when you can just build a better life for yourself with AI? You think I'm joking but I'm not. I've already launched 2 apps I built with AI that's making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year All built by myself. 0 lines of code written. All AI. I didn't do anything special. I just spent a lot of time on action rather than planning. I only say it'll take 15 years for jobs to be eliminated because most people have 0 agency and it takes them decades to realize they can change their lives with a little action I beg you to spend just 15 minutes doing this action plan this week: 1. Open up Grok 2. Give a list of your interests 3. Ask Grok to guide you on using Claude Code to build an app for people in your interests 4. Download Claude Code 5. Do the action plan Grok gives you 6. When you get stuck, just go back to Grok and describe your challenge Time to wake up and free yourself

Manually invoicing people is exactly how you lose 50% or more of your revenue. You HAVE to auto charge people. There is zero situation where you should ever be manually invoicing a client and not auto charging lol

@iamdevloper My strategy is , learn on a need to know basis, if only you need to use it in your current project, adopt, otherwise don’t, you may end up learning it(haphazardly) and switching to the next hot thing that is trending on X

Debating whether to adopt a new framework or not. If I go ahead, I'll become outdated in six months; if I don't, I'm already outdated. It's like Schrödinger's developer.

I thought hitting $800K MRR would change my life. But you know what actually did? Hiring a guy from Tanzania and watching his zoom background slowly upgrade as the weeks went by until eventually moved his whole family to Portugal. No revenue milestone could EVER hit that hard. I started building companies for the money, for the recognition, and proving something to myself. But watching that guys actual life transform. Just because I gave him a shot and he slam dunked it. That’s what it’s all about. At the EOD, revenue is just numbers on a screen. A screenshot to flex for twitter. But the lives you change and people you empower. Those are the things you’ll remember when it’s all said and done.

@contra is an excellent site, but it's geared towards designers more than developers. It's very difficult to show your work as a developer, especially if your work is in the backend, whereas as a designer, it's much easier
