Owning a private vehicle in core Manhattan (even other boros) will cost most well over $1,000 between insurance, car payments, parking, etc. Private vehicle ownership is not being banned, but people who own private vehicles in core Manhattan or travel into core Manhattan on a daily basis, can't just say this is all Big Tech corruption. This issue has been discussed for decades...this is not some new Uber/Lyft issue. Furthermore, lower income households (even household with young children) should have exemptions, not against that. Congestion is real thing, how do we solve it? Residential parking permits? Many ways to approach the topic.

If you drive in the city, congestion pricing is going to help you too! Bc this clearly isn’t working you guys. Buses stalled; emergency vehicles stuck; there’s a better way!
