Looks like TJ McMillen is the #illini starting center today. Wheaton St. Francis product has been Josh Kreutz’s understudy for the past three seasons.

#illini Bret Bielema: Josh Kreutz got rolled up on last week and played through it. He didn't practice this week until Thursday, so TJ McMillen got a lot of reps. The team was excited for McMillen. "I think that kid's got a lot of good football in front of him."

#illini Bret Bielema said backup center TJ McMillen has been getting some reps at guard. Sounds encouraged by depth behind the starters, including Dez Schuster and Brandon Hansen.
