AI has been built in a handful of countries and used everywhere. The @OfficialINDIAai Impact Summit 2026 was invigorating—India showed what AI sovereignty in practice can look like: autonomy, agency, and systems built to serve citizens. 🧵

In was opportunity. Agency. Job creation. India isn’t just talking about AI — it’s deploying it at population scale. If AI is guided by sovereignty and safety, the Global South won’t just participate in the AI era — it will help shape it.
