@DailyBookDrop_ @Brannin lol they are saying you can’t trust the decision making of a guy who cheated on a beautiful movie star that he had been with for over 10 years and had a kid with. Not “cheaters should never coach basketball”. Especially with one of your own employees..

@Brannin Cheating is terrible, but I’m not sure it automatically determines someone’s ability to coach basketball.

Ime Udoka cheated on Nia Long and we trusted this man to lead our basketball team. This is what we deserve.

@grishamhannah @sheanorling Stat cast numbers are just a math equation. They take the launch angle, exit velo, and wind data. Maybe temp too, and give a projected number based on where it would land if there were no stands in the way. Messes with perception when we see where they actually land.

@sheanorling The randomness of MLB’s distances for home runs has always befuddled me. If anything, you would think they would exaggerate them for the “Wow” factor. That ball last night sure looked much farther than 431 feet.

@sheanorling This is a common perception, and I personally think part of the problem is that broadcasts often put the measurement icon where the ball lands which is often closer than the statcast number, since the stands are in the way. It makes a 430ft HR seem shorter than it is.

@RichieRich46892 @getnickwright Ah I guess the NBA just forgot that Miami is a big market and let them get eliminated, despite LaMelo out here trying to injure people.

@RichieRich46892 @getnickwright 😂😂😂 so much wrong with this. Not the least of which is Charlotte is BIGGER THAN ORLANDO… which isn’t even the most popular team in its state. The NBA already gave Charlotte a free play-in win by not calling the flagrant in the game against the actual big market Florida team..

@getnickwright Or an even called game? Big market gets to hold on screens, and I think there was 8+ illegal screen calls in the first half 😂. NBA was never letting their big market lose. I tried to tell you 🤡s this.

Doncic missed 2 games in December due to the birth of his child abroad and Cunningham had a collapsed lung. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards filed a challenge as well and his case was advanced to an independent arbitrator, but was denied and is not eligible for awards, sources said.
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

Just in: The NBA and NBPA have ruled in favor of Lakers' Luka Doncic and Pistons' Cade Cunningham on their Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge for the 65-game award rule, making both eligible for all 2025-26 season honors such as MVP and All-NBA teams, sources tell ESPN.

@JacubTC @NBA__Courtside That’s the point though. People aren’t saying teams are dumb for shooting so many threes, they are saying it’s not as fun to watch. So the idea is to tweak the rules to make shooting a more balanced number of 3s the new smart play. Same rationale for ⚾️ with the pitch clock.

retarded idea let’s not turn the NBA into a circus, harlem-globetrotter style play 😆 Listen i think the same shit; 7’ footer drives the paint with a guy in the restricted area, and passes it out to the corner instead of going up with it. HOWEVER; if the amount of three’s teams are shooting was a PROBLEM; then surely somebody would be dominating the league by spamming paint shots and 2-pointers the truth is, they’re doing what works and gets wins. And until somebody proves that only getting up 20-25 three’s a game and not 30-50, people are gonna keep shooting These kids growing up to be in the league now really FEEL like their shot is on curry’s level; they just don’t get to shoot that much. & even if it ISNT on the same level as curry; that’s how these guys truly FEEL; and they put the work in day in and day out. 90% of the league are sharpshooters. If you told me “i have a style of basketball that will maximize our wins” and it involves shooting 30+ three’s a game. We running it. Now if someone comes in and says “If we limit ourselves to 20-25 three’s a game. and play this triangle offense pounding the paint and backdoor cuts. Guess what? We gonna run that style. So if jacking up three’s isn’t winning basketball; then somebody should be dominating teams nightly.

Paul Pierce says the NBA should change the three point line to a LED line that just comes and goes “Like you can turn it off, turn it back on in certain times of the game. Like, if you are down ten with three minutes in the 4th. It’s just ridiculous how I have watched games, it would be next three minutes of all threes. Like, 48 minutes a game the three point line should be on only like 30 minutes. Then we going to see who got game, then you going to have to get buckets now. You ain’t just going to be launching. You going to have to get money” (Via @NFGShow)

Football is finally in its down time, NBA is taking a break, no massive Olympics stories… Sounds like it’s time for the annual ritual of filling airtime by blaming LeBron for things he has nothing to do with! A tradition unlike any other.

@0nlyMeez @Knicks97107463 @getnickwright Lebron never “jumped teams” or even demanded a trade. He has only ever left in free agency as every player has a right to do since long before LeBron joined the league.

@Knicks97107463 @getnickwright I’m not saying he shoulders all the blame but he shoulders some of it. Made a circus out of his decisions to jump teams leading to the state of the league being all about clicks and not good ball. They want storylines now vs basketball at this point

@AnCryptoStan @sheanorling @psa2rpa The +\-5% rolling average is for cap dollars not actual cash spent. Just look at the Eagles cash spent in the link Shae sent. You’ll see they are over 5% even on a rolling average let alone most of the last 6 individual seasons. If you convert salary to bonuses you can go over.

i think this is a more critical offseason than people are saying. yes, the bears can open a ton of cap space with restructures. this is when we find out how much things have changed: is ownership willing to buy their way to $80M under the cap?

the twins already couldn’t get sold. organization valuations far exceed what people will realistically pay to buy in. what happens when these owners realize their teams have become sunk costs? leagues fold.

Dating back to last Sunday night, we’ve had 8 do or die football games… and 7 of them have been absolute classics that came down to the final play/minute. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like this.
