In honour of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating some of the incredible women who help contribute to our success at Premier Equipment and in the agriculture industry. Today we’re recognizing Jody Fulton, Detailer in Elmira, who joined our team in 2014. For Jody, she didn’t follow a straight path into the agriculture industry. After leaving an assembly line job in 2014, she needed work and started as a detailer at the Elmira dealership. But agriculture and working with her hands had always been part of who she was. Growing up on a hobby farm in Hawkesville, she was what many people would call a typical country kid – comfortable around equipment and animals and always drawn to building and fixing things. Over time, Jody developed a strong reputation in the shop. The job taught her a lot about herself, especially her attention to detail and how much she values teamwork. She believes one of the biggest misconceptions about women in the industry is simple: “That we can’t do exactly what they can.” Outside of work, Jody’s life is just as busy and creative. She runs a hat-making business, enjoys welding and building things in the shop and spends time riding her Harley. Her partner competes in truck pulls, which means plenty of time on the road at summer and fall events. What fills her cup most is time with friends, animals and letting her creativity bloom. The moments she feels most like herself are when she’s working with her hands – getting a perfect weld or seeing a tractor sparkle after she’s finished with it. If she could give her younger self one piece of advice? “Don’t worry so much about what other people think.” And when asked what being a woman in this industry means to her, she answered without hesitation: “Working hard and proving people wrong.” Working for Premier has allowed Jody to develop a strong attention to detail and the power of growth and teamwork. #IWD2026

Blocking some more hat orders! January has been hell not gona lie, first our hot water heater had issues- then our furnace went then the next day the wifi went. My tranny is slipping and my windshield wipers work when they want to- but I’m still here plugging through it!
