If the word ”Mormons” were changed to any other religion or sect, the world would be up in arms. Can you imagine if the word were changed to the n-word? That would be stopped immediately by the BigXII or the NCAA. Schools would be forced to vacate wins!

If you're going to penalize a 1-loss Power Conference team for a weak strength of schedule... BYU's SOS is better than Ole Miss and Notre Dame.
If you're going to penalize a team for not having the strongest power ratings (which incorporate prior year's history and recruiting rankings)... BYU's FPI is higher than Oklahoma's.
If you're going to penalize a team for a non-competitive / bad loss... Alabama lost by 14 to a team with a losing record and Miami lost to two unranked teams.
If you're going to use strength-of-record like you indicated you would, BYU's SOR is the second highest of teams 6-12.
BYU also (1) made its conference championship game and (2) if you sum up the wins of the teams it has beaten, it is THIRD in the country. It is hard to win games and BYU has beaten a lot of teams with a lot of wins.
This. Makes. No. Sense.
The @CFBPlayoff should be ashamed of itself. It has literally contorted itself into a pretzel to avoid putting BYU where it should be ranked (somewhere between 6th - 9th).

Last week a young woman in my neighborhood collapsed on her way to school and died shortly after. We all knew her and the absolute joy and light she brought to this world, and it was devastating. Tonight, despite being the coldest and wettest night so far, nearly 200 people gathered and we sang hymns about eternal families and our Savior. We each held a single tea light and when we were done we placed them in an unbroken line by their home. The mourning family knew this was being organized and went through the trouble of setting up a table for hot chocolate. They had about 20 cups because that’s about how many people they expected. You have no idea how many people would be mortally wounded if you were to leave this life unexpectedly. You have infinite worth and you should live your best to honor that. My two young sons came with me. I was freezing and I could barely feel my hands, so I can only assume they were twice as miserable, but even they understood the reverence we were there to express. I was so proud of them :)
