Another thing knicks fans should consider before blaming our “cheap owner” who just paid 30mm to get rid of thibs and pay another coach is that by staying under the second apron this year it allows the team to have the flexibility to trade their 2033 unprotected first round pick next year. Would u rather have mitch but fck your future when jalen due a new deal, not have access to the 2033 first, MLE and aggregate salaries in trades or would u rather have someone 75% as good as mitch, have the 2033 unprotected first to trade to upgrade the roster, MLE and aggregate salaries? New York winning the NBA Championship for the first time in 53 years just broke the Eastern Conference. • Boston just quit on Jaylen Brown for a washed up 36 year old Paul George. • Milwaukee quit on Giannis Antetokounmpo. • Miami traded their entire future for an injury prone 32 year old Giannis Antetokounmpo. • Charlotte quit on their Superstar PG LaMelo Ball. • Detroit quit on their only tough guy Isaiah Stewart and now Jalen Duren wants out. The Knicks have left the whole entire Eastern Conference in absolute shambles right now.

@ArlaHalvorsen @ShaxNBA Not underestimating just not fearing. Good as he is Leonard is now 35, always has injuries and is constantly load managed. They just gave up a bunch of depth for what I view as a 1 or 2 year shot at a title. Probably the #2 or #3 seed. Go down the matchups I believe NY has edge.

Yes, but this mostly speaks to how much better the Knicks are than the rest of the East Boston I don't see as much of a threat to the Knicks, they don't have the guys they need anymore on defense + Brown stuff, White getting older Detroit had their success, a lot of that was phenomenal 3pt shooting they didn't have come playoffs. Duren and Tobias might leave. Look at their roster outside Cade right now For the amount of success the Knicks had vs Toronto, they fared well defensively in the half-court for much of game time, and NY had a heavy transition influence. Getting a better offensive player can help suppress that + they have the requisite size. It's easy for me to see them as the 2nd best team

It’s because deep down Knick fans know this wasn’t a “real” chip. No one around the league including Net fans are respecting it and they are lashing out as reality sets in. I don’t blame them, I would be irate if my team finally won a chip after 50 years and it was that weak.
