The chart shows $BTC is flat since the fall of 2024. That is a four year total return of ZERO! Number no go up no more. If I owned an asset that generated zero return over four years, that would certainly cause me to question my assumptions. It would certainly give me pause. But do you think $BTC maxis do as such? No, instead they become more nasty and profane when questioned. Rational? No. Emotional? Yes. Denial is not the name of a river in Egypt!

Get your facts straight asshole Was actually a great six year run at Fidelity, followed by two very successful hedge funds. You really aren’t very good at this. “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.”

Bottom of the 9th, Game 7 of the World Series. Bases loaded, 2 outs, and your team is down by 1 Mariano Rivera is on the mound. You have your choice of any hitter, of any era, in his prime. Who gets the call?

@blloyd8298 With no evidence, but can I make a totally unfounded conspiracy theory? The ACC wanted Miami in the CFP, not Virginia. The only way that happens is if Virginia loses the ACC Championship...

Two things can be true. UVa played way above expectations this season and accomplished one of the best seasons in program history UVa also had a chance to win an ACC title and compete in the CFP and squandered a chance in a game they absolutely should have won last night

@JamesSurowiecki The highest inflation of this century was when the @JoeBiden administration used COVID as an excuse to shut down productive economic activity for far too long spent tax-payers’ money like a crack-addicted (son of the President and) drunken sailor

Inflation is up 3% year-over-year, core inflation also up 3%. Both are well above the Fed's target, and higher than what inflation was a year ago, when Trump was going on and on about high prices. But now 3% inflation is "really good," and Trump is lying about prices going down.

NEC Director Kevin Hassett on the September CPI report: "It was a really good report for a number of reasons. The first is that it went down a little bit from August... it was a little bit below expectation."

Completely incredible. Lutnick and Trump brag about getting South Korea to invest billions in the U.S., then turn around and arrest South Koreans who were here temporarily in the U.S. to help Hyundai set up a factory in Georgia. The stupidity burns.
Reuters@Reuters

South Korea's government said its citizens' rights must not be violated in the course of Korean businesses' work in the US, noting 'many' of its nationals had been detained after an immigration raid at a Hyundai Motor facility in Georgia reut.rs/4lUAXv7

Nothing Lutnick says about this plan makes sense. If the Japanese govt is giving the U.S. $550 billion, it's taxpayer money. Trump cannot decide on his own, without congressional approval, how to spend it. Nor can the U.S. build factories without congressional authorization.
Acyn@Acyn

Lutnick: This is the Japanese government giving Donald Trump $550 billion and says "Go fix whatever you need to fix." Donald Trump can take the Japanese money and say "Let's go build a factory and get an American company to operate it. We will lease them the factory. If they don't make much money, so what?" That's the beauty of this. Donald Trump calls it a signing bonus.

"It's now in writing" is such a funny line. Trump's handpicked subordinate reached the exact conclusion he wanted her to reach, and then wrote it down. It must be true, then.
