After 2+ years and 11,854+ signatures: zero affordable housing units reported built as a direct result. Progress = “awareness,” ads, social media, and events — not homes. The crisis? Utah’s housing shortage ~40,000+ units (structural gap persists; need ~28,000 new homes/year to catch up). Median home prices ~$530,000–$550,000 (Zillow ~$533k; recent sales/median listing around $510k–$550k). Homelessness hit 4,584 in 2025 PIT count (up 18% from 2024), with chronic cases rising sharply. Families still pay way over 30% of income on housing. No competitive process, no audit of the $3M, no diverse voices shaping policy. Utahns deserve real results — actual homes — not PR from connected insiders. Demand transparency, push for measurable outcomes, and support zoning reforms that truly help working families.
