Starting a $20 trading challenge. I want to refine my trading skills through a disciplined strategy and will be using this account to document the process. I will be posting the trades I take, the wins & losses, as I try to build up a bankroll on the Solana blockchain.

added another .2 sol to the wallet after the loss on wan. going to keep holding and see if it catches any attention over the next few days. i’ve been scanning for the last couple hours and don’t see anything good enough to enter atm. closest is cate if it forms double bottom here. missed the whole frank ocean play which is likely to be the main runner of the day, may see something pop later in the evening.

thought this would hold a lot better and even reverse tbh. still catalysts to be had but chart bleeding. also felt like it didn’t make much sense to set a stop on this one because the size was so small but in hindsight it would have been proper practice to do so. calling it a day after this one and will be back tomorrow.

pvp was the meta through to this morning. nongwan vs wan, samecat vs cate, whitedog vs bruno.

events of last night: stop loss got hit at 6m for cate as volume rotated to the wan pvp. bought the organic wan at around 200k and slept on it. the thesis was that the other coin was an obvious slow rug and holders would rotate. chart fundamentals were pretty decent for entry there as well. would have taken some profit had i been awake to see 800k. im still in the trade as i think there are more catalysts coming and the chart is basing. let’s see.

another note for myself: we are still in a bear market; a rotators market in memes. if you want to be consistently profitable in this environment, there is no room for “believing” in a coin no matter how strong you think the narrative is. stay agile, don’t drink the koolaid. all coins go to zero eventually, and there’s always another play tomorrow.

in isolation, i don’t think there’s anything wrong with gambling in the trenches. in fact, i like to think i have a good eye for spotting narratives early. where i think i went wrong was trying to fund my trading port by gambling, instead of the other way around. this was compounded by bad habits like chasing losses, doubling down on losers, refusing to take profit, etc. going forward, i will refocus on trading clean setups on ct’s flavor of the day. later, i will introduce allocating a small percentage of profits, with strict conditions, towards trying to catch runners.

$12 and a dream. i will attempt to run this up practicing disciplined trading principles rather than trying to catch runners at 10k. wish me luck.

over the past couple days i broke pretty much every trading rule i set out for myself so this is a thread trying to document and comment on what happened:

my read on salary cat atm: so i bought the first one that bonded last night, luckily sold in profit before sleeping. i thought it had a strong narrative and would survive the night if it was meant to. interestingly enough, i wake up to a different one that has run to a million in a few hours and start my due diligence on it. first thing i notice is that soul scanner flags most of the volume in the last hour fake. hm. ok. then i go over to dex and see that the rockets have been botted. this was also the case on bop and something else in the last few days that pumped convincingly and dumped undeniably. im not saying that this thing couldnt pump more, but i am personally going to be very careful with this coin considering these things. unfortunate cuz if organic, i thought the thing could run. we’ll see.

so what is the lesson in all of this? well, i think a lot of little lessons that i internalize as i write and reflect on these events. i know what i did wrong, i just have to act accordingly. to that end, maybe i get lucky over the next day or two and that $20 survives and multiplies. regardless, i think i will have to force myself to take the day off trading tomorrow to regroup. after that, ill be taking my $20 back to the jupiter wallet and getting back on the wagon of looking for clean setups and sizing properly. end of thread.

after that i was just revenge trading the rountrip and gambling on anything with a pulse. the result was a slow grind down of that 1 sol and further frustration when i saw coins i didn’t catch going up. ive got about $20 left of the whole $120 this all started with sitting in shitters that will probably die by noon tomorrow.
