Just before I launched this project I had to move back in with my mom in Ohio on a twin bed at 23 years old. I was super embarrassed because I felt like everyone I went to high school with had graduated and got their first apartment. When I signed my record deal I was living in a “co living community” in a bunk bed with four other people and a locker to hold all of my belongings and no car so my manager drove me to sessions. When I sold out my first tour I moved into an apartment with five rooms but rented one out to me that was 10X7 ft . I couldn’t even fit a dresser in my bedroom but I got my first double bed at almost 25 years old. My credit was so bad I couldn’t even apply for an apartment. Today I moved into my first ever apartment in my name 💖 she’s a two bedroom with a spot for my little 2015 Chevy sonic. And it’s the first time in my life I’ll ever be able to have someone over for dinner 🥲💖 I’m 27 now. It’s also my first time ever living with a Partner. For my entire life I’ve felt so embarrassed and like I wasn’t doing enough. Today as we’re watching our first baseball game at home and eating Chinese take out with plastic utensils I can’t help but be so grateful for how much my life has shifted these last few years. I’ve never asked for that much in my life just a place that I felt safe and to be able to do my dream as a career and I finally have it. I can’t wait for this next chapter of my life and I’m so grateful to everyone that changed so much in 4 years for me🥲💖 love yall
