Well I choose to remain calm, they handled last summer well. By this time last year people were panicking too cos we only signed Cunha. I will wait till 31st August and then see what happens. For the first time in a long while, we seem to at least have a working structure just that it might seem slow in the eyes of many, with time we will start making quicker deals but INEOS still need time to clean up the United tax. Even the Mateus u are mentioning, I doubt Southampton would have sold him to us same price they sold to Westham

£73m was not a good price for Sancho at the time but that was barely the issue, the problem was the £325k a week that made him impossible to get rid of when things did not work out. Everyone eventually saw he was lazy, overrated and out of touch with football. The clubs that even wanted to take the chance on him stumbled on the wages, the same wages you guys want us to pay Mateus fernandes. Say we’d given him the amount he’s getting at spurs, what do you then give him if you choose to renew? Can you truly in your heart say that he’s played well enough to make that much money at a club like United?

Anderson and Mateus wouldn’t be the players they are today if they didn’t go to those clubs. There are so many of such transfers that never worked out. Have u forgotten it was Newcastle that sold Anderson for £35m package because they had Joelington whom Anderson couldn’t bench then? If Newcastle knew he would turn out this way they wouldn’t sell him outrightly, they would have added buy back or sell on clause

@udtobe @KheNeNwokeAlor @Blxiseutd Iam in agreement. My original point was they should be quick and decisive and Fernandez could have been snapped up previously. The plan is right but the approach needs fine tuning. All while the club is in massive debt which is the main problem.

I always use Klopp Liverpool as an example. U first of all buy the right players (Salah, Mane, Fermino etc) and build the team, after which u can add marquee signings (VVD, Alisson) to compete and we are still in building stage now. There’s difference between buying the right players at the right price and buying cheap for the sake of it. The point is that the board took the right decision by not overpaying for both Tonali and Mateus, the profiles they offer we can get it elsewhere, the scouts should do their job which I believe they already have targets in their minds.

Bit my frustration is that Anderson and Fernandez could have been picked up in previous windows for less. And that’s the type of approach best in class do

@joeywadding @udtobe @Blxiseutd They're not looking to buy cheap. They want to buy on the right price, not extreme rates born out of competition/desperation. That's how to run a club & every well thinking fan should understand it.

And paying massive fees and wages didn’t work in the past. It’s hope they get right rather than expect them to get it right. Not how ye should feel about the club

INEOS defenders spent days screaming that £85m was "too expensive" for Mateus Fernandes, just for Laurie Whitwell to drop a report today confirming United WERE ready to match the fee. 😂 So why didn’t we complete it in early June?! The boy clearly fancied us, he literally admitted his idol is Bruno Fernandes! But we stalled, let Spurs into the race, got dragged into a bidding war, and let them offer better wages. Unbelievable bottling. We out-negotiated ourselves.

Tchoumeni is 80% for progression and 93% for forward passes lol. When it comes to defensive duels on the ground he's 92%, in the air he's 98%, tackles, interceptions, blocks all at least 90%. Statically he's the best oop midfielder itw, while being good on the ball
