@Zedrinbot the main thing i see why this is the thing is wuwas reward for playing well is the kit working. cant land the hard hitters reasonably? dps suffers. something like genshin is all about creating the set up that it resolves, almost no alternative combat beyond select screen.

Said this before but the thing I like about Wuwa's combat is, whenever I come up short, I *know* it's a skill issue, not a matchup issue. I don't know what it is but I have a significantly easier time diagnosing what I'm doing wrong and fixing it in that game.

@mockingeu i bloody hate the fomo and dailies. these games do got a lot of great things about them but are dragged into hell because of these decisions. it also doesn't help that most of the progression in power is daily limited making the average person under geared.

I’ll admit, playing gacha again is kinda fun, I don’t care about getting the characters…ignore dailies and time events, no FOMO just enjoying playing and exploring like a normal game after I’m done with wuwa, I should try GI and zzz again

@Zedrinbot i havent gotten to it my self yet, but expecting in my eyes considering shunguang and shiyuan are basically written as only sacrifical chars with nothing noteworthy that is integral to their personality to exist beyond that dynamic.

@Zedrinbot ya the story initally is bloated with the normal introduction stuff. it picks up with scar, goes down a bit, then picks back up for the final. as for side quest ive done so far, nothing really worth noting. lingyangs story was meh. but jiyans was absolutely fantastic.

Decided to check out Wuwa against my better judgement (because gacha) holy shit the combat is good holy shit the story is not lmao but the combat is so damn fun, it's carrying it hard.

@Zedrinbot funny enough the necromech thing is a "you dont got the tool" diolog thing that story wise we gain the ability later. had to help a friend get that to ever start it. but because needing it to start makes it inconsistent diolog.

In Warframe, Teshin doesn't let you raid a Sentient ship because they have a device that disables warframes. He refuses to let you just use your necromech which is a hard counter to that strategy. He goes in and unceremoniously dies, and guess what you do in a later mission?

One trope I hate in game narratives: "This mission is too dangerous for you for arbitrary reasons! You must stay behind and wait. I, your friend / mentor / ally, will go in your stead, ultimately die, and force you to do it yourself anyway."

@RatClinic_ so heres a detail from dmc:devil may cry. if i recall vergil in that game also doesnt tigger discipline and does accidently shoot when not intended yet

Just noticed this small detail: Dante has proper trigger discipline and waits until the moment of aiming to put his finger on the trigger, but Vergil doesn’t use guns so his finger is already on the trigger at this moment. Intentional or not, it’s interesting.

@Zedrinbot venti is one of those chars that opens alot of team build options, and if you got someone that causes small aoe from a enemy like albedo or childe, he excels on weird builds like that

hhhh genshin I need to decide if I spend like, the 30-40 saved pulls I have on Venti's banner to TRY and get him before he leaves (get him before hitting pity), and if I fail just skip on Rosaria, or if I just save and only grab Rosaria (and risk getting Childe before pity).
