Yes - a royal college would act primarily in the interests of the public. Which is not the same as acting exclusively in the interests of the public. What is good for your patients is good for the profession and good for you. The stronger the profession, and the more supported it is by our royal college, the more it will be able to act to the benefit of your patients. A virtuous circle. We are most effective when we work together as a team, through collaboration and in partnership with others in the pharmacy ecosystem, and alongside our clinical alllies in other professions. A royal college of pharmacy would provide the framework, resources, recognition and professional leadership for members to make this a lasting reality. The word vaccine comes from the Latin vacca, for cow as the “first vaccine” was the inoculation of cow pox (a very similar but less deadly illness) discovered by Edward Jenner in 1796. I have visited his house and seen his study!

@DrNeilStone I’m not anti vaxxer (I was for the covid vaccine). But just because some vaccines work doesn’t mean all vaccines work. They should all have public data on the pros and cons. Were there any side effects to the vaccine above? Idk

I am voting to get the Tories out… For my grandma: Who died alone of Covid in hospital, separated from her family. Her last words forever lost. For my Dad: Who underwent cancer treatment in hospital alone. Putting on a brave face so his family would think he’s okay. For my NHS colleagues: Who put their lives at risk to care for Covid patients, armed with only flimsy masks & bin bags for PPE We died alone, suffered alone, grieved alone…. Whilst the Tories laughed at us & partied They fucking partied!! I will never forget & never forgive Let’s obliterate them in this election!
