I spent many years in the military, and it was a really positive experience. I believe that, along with our rights, military service can be a great way for young people to understand their responsibilities and obligations to our country. My only concern is that I don’t trust politicians to use the military wisely or ethically.

There is now talk of military conscription in Australia. Let's be brutally frank, I have no interest in being drafted or seeing my sons be drafted to fight a foreign war on behalf of an Australian government I do not respect. One that clearly loves to tax but doesn't care.

Anti-vaccine conspiracy theories don’t hold up to the facts: nothing is without risk, and while rare side effects like myocarditis and blood clotting did occur, billions of doses were administered, and hospitalization and death rates dropped significantly after the vaccines. I completely understand that people harmed by vaccines would be deeply aggrieved. There were far fewer tragedies as a result of the vaccines; they’re just not as obvious.

Of course it doesn’t help that Australia is now desperate for nurses since sacking many of them for not injecting a poison into their bodies in 2021.

I’m frustrated by the punishment handed down to this man by an overly empathetic judiciary and see similar situations far too often. Not everyone deserves a second chance—some crimes call for the perpetrator to be removed from society for good. This is one of those cases.

Raped a Baby, deserves Death! A man from St Helens who filmed himself as he raped a baby has been jailed. Adrian Waring, 35, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 22 January) after pleading guilty to multiple child sex offences, possession of cocaine and bestiality. His offences were against a baby girl under the age of 12 months in May last year. Waring was jailed for the following offences: •Two counts of rape •Six counts of making indecent photographs of a child •Sexual assault •Possession of extreme pornography •Sexual activity with a living animal •Possession of a controlled Class A drug (cocaine) Waring was sentenced to a total of 22 years, eight months imprisonment. He will serve 14 years, eight months in prison and the remaining eight years on licence. He was also given an indefinite restraining order and an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, and must sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
