“Walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15-16) The reason we need to be careful in how we live, i.e., “walk circumspectly,” is because Satan, our adversary, is taking every opportunity to mess us up. With this in mind, the Apostle Peter says, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.” (1 Peter 5:8-9a) When we resist Satan and his demonic forces by standing firm in the faith, then the Lord God of all grace will restore us, making us strong, firm, and steadfast (1 Peter 5:10). Therefore, let’s entrust ourselves to Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and surrender ourselves fully to Him, standing firm in our faith, and resisting the devil’s advances. Thank you for sharing this word, and my prayer is that we stand firm in the faith. Take care, and God bless
