@FrankBr05713205 In h.s., the change over from slide rules to calculators took about 1 week. Everyone carried a splitter (electric outlets) because the rechargeable batteries weren't much good and you weren't allowed to take the last slot in a plug outlet.

This was my calculator in college. On the plus side, it didn't need any batteries. Anybody else ever use one?
