Update: I'm joining the Steelers. Telling the stories of this franchise and the people within it is what I do. Really pumped for this move over to the team site, Steelers Nation Radio and more. Here's a little on what that means for me and to me. Let's go: steelers.com/news/batko-add…

On April 19th, 1943, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising broke out!
The woman in the front on the left is Yehudit Neyer, holding her mother-in-law's hand.
The young girl is the daughter of Yehudit and Avraham Neyer, who is visible to her left. Of these four, only Avraham survived the war.
The others perished in a German extermination camp.

The chances of this occurring are extremely remote. The surviving evidence is sparse and comes from interested sources, making it insufficient to dispel serious historical skepticism.

#NYC #LandlordRights #HousingCrisis #SquatterCrisis
I’m a NYC landlord.
A tenant used fake financial documents and a bounced check to get into my property.
He has now lived there for 8 months — without paying a single dollar.
My losses are over $50,000 and still growing.
Police won’t act.
DA won’t act.
The system tells me: go to housing court and wait.
I followed the law. I hired a lawyer. I even gave him extra time to leave.
He’s still there.
Let me ask a simple question:
When someone uses fraud to take your property, why is it treated like a normal tenant dispute?
This system doesn’t protect honest people.
It punishes them.
NYC talks about a “housing crisis.”
But who would rent out their property under these conditions?
This is not just my story.
This is happening to small landlords across New York.
And nobody is fixing it.

Spring has sprung, and a formerly young man's fancy turns to thoughts of... drive-ins. No meandering Dave's Car ID Service history dissertation today, just a meditation about the aesthetics of cars bathing in the nighttime glow of a drive-in restaurant sign, told through photos.
The most iconic for me is my late friend Norm Grabowski at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank in 1957, in the T-bucket he built that would later become the "Kookie T" of the TV series 77 Sunset Strip. The photo appeared on a LIFE magazine cover, and sorta perfectly encapsulates that aesthetic. Happily Bob's Big Boy Burbank is still thriving and I always make a cruise night pilgrimage there whenever I visit SoCal.
