The @CPCUPartnership Community Preservation Trust held a ribbon cutting this morning to celebrate its purchase and resale of its first property at an affordable price. The new property owner was a long-time renter of the property and now is a first-time homeowner. Congratulations! The City of College Park has helped fund this program to help stabilize College Park neighborhoods and address housing affordability. The Community Preservation Trust program purchases homes to place in shared-equity homeownership program for income-eligible households and has received City and State funding to accomplish its initiatives.

Once Balogun finalizes this move to Monaco(which is close), I think it will be fair to say that it was close to a perfect transfer window for the USMNT 🇺🇸 players. They all land in great club situations in theory, now it’s time to see what happens on the field. Maybe Richards getting a loan and Carter-Vickers getting a big move would have been ideal but none were urgent, in my opinion.

Due to construction delays, the Trolley Trail will be detoured at Campus Drive for an additional two weeks. The temporary walkway along Campus Drive that connects to Rossborough Lane continues to provide access to the Trolley Trail for pedestrians and cyclists.

For the twelfth year in a row, the City of College Park has been named a “Banner City” by the Maryland Municipal League (MML). The designation recognizes the municipalities’ elected and appointed officials as MML’s most engaged members. The City earned the designation by its officials’ attendance at MML conferences and local chapter events; membership on the MML Board and committees; and outreach to schools to educate students about local government. City of College Park Mayor Pro Tem and MML 2022-2023 President Denise Mitchell was also recognized during the conference. During the opening ceremony, Mayor Pro Tem Mitchell received the Key to Ocean City by Ocean City Mayor Richard Meehan in recognition for her dedicated work as MML President. At the Closing Ceremony, Governor Wes Moore awarded Ms. Mitchell a Governor’s Citation in appreciation of her outstanding services. Congratulations Mayor Pro Tem Mitchell!
