There's a common argument parroted by various people that women's sports are not popular and that's why pay inequity exists. This is actually false. Men's sports has spent decades actively suppressing women's sports and stigmatising female athletes for being non-traditional.

⚠️ This also goes for conference talks: code slides that look fine (still not great) on a laptop, likely look horrible (read: illegible) on a conference screen. 3 conference attendee rows out, and they’re likely useless. And don’t forget contrast. The more you know 💫

Hint if you’re making code YouTube videos: increase the code font to a comically large size. I often watch them on my phone in-between kid activities, and it’s surprising how many of these videos have tiny fonts that are hard to read on an iPhone 13.
