A reminder that, under our soil, we have 1.5 billion barrels of oil, 150 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 300 years' supply of coal. ofgem.gov.uk/press-release/…

@RestoreBolton @RestorePompey @reformparty_uk @RestoreBritain_ That would be fine in an ideal world, we have another 3 years of this Labour government and with 3 right wing parties splitting votes Burnham with his even more left wing policies, ethnic and 16yr olds voting, another 5 years of left wing government. The U.K is doomed.

Farage knows if @reformparty_uk loses to @RestoreBritain_ in Makerfield next month, he'll be toast... walking off into the sunset with his £5 million bung, his party dead and buried. Exciting times! 🔥

@RestoreBolton @RestorePompey @reformparty_uk @RestoreBritain_ No, they like me are not the Green Libs that remain in the Tory party. I am voting for people I hope will put the people of the U.K. first, the other parties failed. The status quo is not an option. If Restore had any chance, they'd get my vote, but I'm a realistic. They haven't.

Finally the MSM are reporting Rupert Lowe will go down in history. As the man who made arch lefty Andy Burnham Prime Minister. He and his band of young thickos must be so proud. What a legacy. 🙄

@Xmusknewsx @barharty So if you shout loud enough you can have the laws, traditions you want? This is the U.K and U.K laws should be the only laws followed, or perhaps Suttee and FGM. should be legalised, too? NO!

@_HenryBolton @Kimmu14 If used every other word swearing loses its effect, it becomes as meaningless as "go away" you "Silly Billy" used sparingly F off you C is much more effective. Use it all the time, and it's water off a ducks back.

I’ve a request to everyone who posts on X: could we perhaps express ourselves without resorting to swearing and abuse? Just tone it down one notch. Instead of calling someone a “f-wit”, call them a “fool”. Instead of calling them a “c—t”, call them “contemptible” or “pathetic”. You should be able to make your point perfectly well without sounding like an angry teenager in a pub at closing time. Politics is bad enough already without people swearing like troopers - and having once been a Trooper once myself myself I’ve perhaps an excuse, but still don’t need to resort to it. If all you’ve got is abuse, then perhaps you need to think a bit harder about your argument. A valid argument should be able to stand on its own merits without needing profanity to prop it up or close down and intimidate others. I don’t much care for myself - my skin is plenty thick enough - but the time of politics is appalling, getting worse and bad language just drives it further down.

Can Burnham win Makerfield? Majority of 5,399. But the local elections were bruising for Labour in the region.
Josh Simons@joshsimonsmp

For decades, Westminster has overseen the managed decline of towns like mine. We have talked big, then acted small, stuck in a politics of incrementalism that cannot meet the moment. We have lost the trust of those our party was built to serve. It is my unwavering belief that nothing short of urgent, radical, courageous reform will make a difference. That must start with a change in leadership. Today, I am putting the people I represent and the country I love first and will be resigning as MP for Makerfield. I am standing aside so that Andy Burnham can return to his home, fight to re-enter Parliament, and if elected, drive the change our country is crying out for. This has not been an easy decision. This is my family’s home, where only a few weeks ago, doctors and nurses at Wigan Infirmary saved our newborn son’s life. But we all must make choices and in recent days I found myself with a difficult one: defend the status quo or step forward and act. I have made my choice. I am in politics because politics is how you change lives for the better. My party has one last chance to do that: deliver for the people and places I represent, drive economic growth, secure our borders, reform our state and politics, and change a status quo that is not working. That is the fight. I believe Andy is the one to lead it.

@BladeoftheS Indeed , potatoes dumped from Holland, I stopped growing them, Mushrooms dumped from Poland, my neighbouring grower went bust. Red-tape turned me from a 'mixed farmer' to a Rape and cereals grower. The E.U. changed the face of U.K.farming and we are still counting the cost.
