10 years ago today, I was bored at my boring desk job and was scrolling Twitter. I saw this post from @FordCartoons that he was launching a humble little Christian satire site called @TheBabylonBee. So I fired off a headline & article pitch to him. Now I write jokes on the internet for a living. The moral of the story is screw around at your desk job and it just might pay off.

I showed my husband a reel from @johnbcrist where he doesn’t get the joke of checking your tire pressure because the weather is cold. My husband (laughing): he is not very smart is he? Me: He makes fun of himself cause he doesn’t know a lot of this mechanic stuff. To be fair, he lives in the south so it typically does not get as cold as here. My husband: it does get cold. Me: I lived in the south, i lived in Florida. I never had to check the tire pressure until I lived here. Him: that’s not the same, that’s Florida but it has snowed in Florida before. two times? That’s how many times it has snowed and NOT THE SAME AS HERE!!! 😂🤭😂
