What truly moves you to action? I believe that everyone cares about something changing around them and has something to give to that change. It can be your time, money, ties or talent. Today, take the time to reflect on how you want to show up this year and do it, bit by bit.

I recently joined Chris Reynolds on the Turning The Page, and one of the topics we discussed was how advisors manage the best asset class for donations, publicly traded securities. Why? They are hyper tax-efficient. Check out the full episode now: bit.ly/4rXmvXN

Our donor support team is available by phone, email, or chat whenever someone needs guidance, wants to talk through an idea, or has a question about charity or charitable giving. Reach out to us any time, we’d love to chat! We can learn from each other. #DAF #donoradvisedfund

With Charitable Impact, you can learn how to give better and better as you go. In this way, charitable giving is no different than most other skills in life. And it’s why we invest in real human support.

For the person/company that knows they want to make giving back part of who they are, but doesn’t have all the answers about how, consider a donor-advised fund(DAF). @wearecharitable, we call it an Impact Account. It helps you start your journey without having all the answers.

What does your giving say about you? \ When we give with intention, our generosity reflects what we care about and the change we hope to see in the world. 💭 #GivingSeason #ReflectBeforeYouGive

Tomorrow is #NationalPhilanthropyDay! 🌍 As our founder John Bromley says, the more connected you are to your giving, the more meaningful it becomes. Every act of generosity brings us closer to the change we want to see. 💙

“Slacktivism” gets a bad rap, like it’s a bad habit to break. But it’s often where real change begins. Reading, liking, or sharing a post abt an issue you care abt builds knowledge & sparks conversations. It also creates social permission to talk abt issues we’d otherwise avoid.
Charitable Impact@wearecharitable

Every click counts. 💛 Your online voice can amplify the causes you care about by liking, commenting, or sharing articles or posts that spark understanding and conversation. Because giving is personal, and knowledge shared becomes impact amplified. 👉 bit.ly/49D0pDd

Your best giving starts with what you care about. Ask yourself: If I could only give to one thing, what would it be? Start there.

Why do we commit to giving more consistently, only to hesitate when it’s time to act? Totally normal. It’s not a lack of generosity. It’s a lack of clarity. Once people understand why they want to give, the how gets a whole lot easier. You’re more charitable than you think.

My first memory of giving was handing my allowance to my sister when she lost hers. I wouldn’t have called it “charity,” but it taught me something I still believe: giving shapes us. Thinking about what your giving says about you? This is a great read: bit.ly/4icnrD8

When someone asks for a donation, before you say yes or no, ask yourself: 1️⃣Am I charitable in how I live? 2️⃣Is this cause/person meaningful to me? 3️⃣How do I want to use what I already have (my time, talent, treasure & ties) to help? Giving isn’t pressure. It’s self-expression.

When you get engaged with something you actually care about, know a little about, or want to learn about, your confidence changes. That’s how we rebuild trust in the charitable sector, not by standing back and critiquing, but by stepping in and learning through participation. 2/2

Many of us don’t know enough about the causes we care about or how charities actually do their work to feel confident in our giving. So instead of engaging, we hold back. We overthink. We hesitate. The solution isn’t more skepticism, it’s more involvement.

You don't need a DAF to be generous or to give. I often talk about why DAFs are great, and you may want to consider one for your charitable giving. Still, a DAF might not be your style. My latest blog post shares some reasons why you may not need a DAF: bit.ly/4qymg4D
