My city's average temperature in 1875 was 52.5°f. Fast forward 135 years, it was 52.7°f. Than starting in two thousand the temperature started rising to 57.6°f by 2025. What happened? Urbanization. The population exploded. From 19,000 people to well, over 1.1 million in a small geographical area. The increase in temperature was man made, but not the way you think. It was UHI but you will never acknowledged that.

My fellow Canvassers literally had the Police called on them by staff of Peter's Drive In, Calgary yesterday, even though they were on public property and merely exercising their democratic right to garner signatures for the Petition for a Referendum on Alberta Independence. They were not harassing people, just making themselves available in in a public spot so that people that wanted to sign could do so. I wonder if they did the same with Forever Canada petitioners? What's next? Karen Burgers on the menu?
