@gilliandarley I always loved the wonky letraset on the cover of #1. It wasn't just a book but a celebration of alternative living. TO went weekly in 1971.

@floatingstones Harpers & Queen often published concrete poetry through the 1970s partly because the great and irreplaceable Ann Barr's (features editor) partner was Alan Riddell

@Rupechri Just heard the UKR Culture Minister make an eloquent appeal for help at G20 meeting. The Russian minister walked out when he started and returned when he finished. France spoke next and gave full support to Ukraine. The Brits didn't bother to turn up.

to see #IPTI's 'Naturalist Art Project' in N.E. Brazil blooming is astonishing (having watched initial seeds being planted years ago): local flora and fauna on paper, textiles and now digital media, now spreading like live spores in collaborative networks vimeo.com/718040114

Happy Bloomsday. Another reminder to read it again or listen to it. And perhaps also to read this article on Joyce the entrepreneur and Bloom the businessman. ft.com/content/0cb392…

@floatingstones I'm sure there are hundreds, thousands, more trees than people. There are 3 million hectares of woodlands, counting only areas over half a hectare; plus all the single trees in hedges, gardens etc. And we need more!

I keep idly wondering: does anybody know exactly how many trees there are in England? there seems to be a great deal. I wonder if there are more trees than people.

Good to be reminded. British exports of education were worth £22.3bn in 2018, more than exports of financial services which earned £20bn. economist.com/britain/2022/0…

@floatingstones @YouTube Halfway though watching this fascinating discussion, I heard Manchester University fired Alastair Hudson for putting on the exhibition.

Life moves pretty fast. 15 years ago today, the world met iPhone for the first time and in a moment everything changed. Many more big moments to come.
