Hulu's Laughing Now, that is, which makes more sense and signals some direct competition via tagline with Netflix Is a Joke

As tipped in my Netflix story, Hulu is going in on stand-up comedy. As Jim Gaffigan just said at Disney upfront "They’re not doing it half ass, they’re doing it full ass." Gaffigan is 1st up (Nov. 22) in a series of monthly specials under the banner Laughing Now

At those live shows there were screens showing the Netflix logo and ‘The Lunatic’s Manifesto,’ which everyone assumed was the title of the next special. Unclear when he decided to call it The Dreamer

I saw Chappelle 3 times in 2023 starting in Jan, and now I know which bits didn’t make it into his Netflix special The Dreamer (watching a Chuck Berry sex tape; visiting Floyd Mayweather’s strip club) and which bits did (a couple quoted in this story) wsj.com/arts-culture/t…

This story is cool as hell. For "Lovin On Me," Jack Harlow & Oz sampled Detroit artist Cadillac Dale's "Whatever (Bass Soliloquy)" from 1995, giving him his first charting song ever (not to mention #1), long after he'd stopped making music "This fell in my lap, man"
