The Last Castle (2001) is an underrated gem. Redford and Gandolfini are electric, an iron-willed clash inside a military prison, honour vs authority, ego vs duty. Tense, sharp, and loaded with great character actors. Another sheer-class Redford production.

Remembering Val Kilmer.
I always felt he should have been nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Jim. Watching him on set gave me the creeps, he was so close to Jim. Actors are mysterious like that; they transform themselves. Val did it beautifully.
