@MrBDelany I just watch territory maps, Russia was making gradual but steady progress. That stopped and started reversing slightly in some areas. So I looked up the details. My best guess is advances in drone tech made advancing too costly.

Is there some way to bet on the Ukraine war ending soon? I don't see how it can go on now that Ukraine is able to kill Russian soldiers faster than Russia can replace them.

A larger natural history-controlled trial covering a wider cross-section of Huntington’s disease patients (stage 1/3, lower striatal volume à la the recently enrolled cohort 4)?

Not a chance: what if they chose 17 patients that the drug really works in? And the other patients it didn’t work as well We’ve seen plenty of examples where a drug works for specific patients and not when broadened out to the rest of the population. For rarer, childhood diseases which are fatal by 20 (danon or rett for example), the FDA may be okay with a disease showing long term FU, but these drugs show an improvement. And again: there’s not a list of companies with a different development path

For the $QURE advocates, do we think PTC and Skyhawk should be approved using non placebo controlled data and their current phase 3 trials are unethical?

I should add that the first and third papers I linked to focused on single-arm trials but NOT using external controls, so they should be disregarded in retrospect!
