This police officer needs help. His name is Mohammed Ali, attached to Endebess Police Station in Trans Nzoia County. He is accusing his OCS of maliciously initiating disciplinary action against him for being a deserter. Ali explains that he was granted 14 days of off-duty leave to visit his home in Daadab, Garissa County. However, ongoing heavy rains left most areas in Garissa inaccessible, forcing him to extend his absence to 23 days. He adds that a delay in his salary further hindered his ability to travel back on time. Despite these circumstances beyond his control, the OCS reportedly refused to listen and proceeded with desertion proceedings. Desperate for justice, Ali has now appealed to Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat, accusing the OCS of acting maliciously.
