@KirPinkFury And yet somehow I inevitably see people claim that we’re in a “game drought” comparable to the Wii U. It’s actually crazy how they can ignore so many games releasing and think it’s in any way like the Wii U
English

Nintendo learned their lesson with the Wii U. They're afraid of repeating those same mistakes.
CramerGamer@Pacifist_Elk
Nintendo has been releasing something first party every month this year. January - Switch 2 Edition Animal Crossing February - Mario Tennis Fever March - Pokopia April - Tomodachi Life May - Yoshi June - Star Fox July - Splatoon Raiders
English

@Drtre81 Dude. You’re wrong on this one. There’s 96 first party switch games (I got rid of any that aren’t explicitly Nintendo), exactly 12 of them are from Wii U. That’s 12.5%, nowhere near “half” like you said. If we discount remakes or remasters of any kind, that still puts it at 15%
English

Nintendo did not publish over 100 first party games on switch let alone ones that were never on wiiu. Lol
gabeink@GabeInk
@Drtre81 You had me second guessing so I counted and I only have like 12 (out of the 40ish they ported from Wii U and over 100 Switch first party Nintendo games that weren’t on Wii U so I think you’re lying now actually lol
English

@SkyStarrying @Drtre81 Purely ports. If it wasn’t on the Wii U, it doesn’t count
English

@Drtre81 What are we counting as wii u games? Purely ports or are we counting games like mm2 and splat2?
English

@ScarletSprites Odd flex, plenty of other people are enjoying the great games it has to offer. I have bought 13 games for it specifically, and my family, friends, and I been enjoying them all a lot
English

@Trunkit_ @Eliza_Artz @JuniThePuny @TheJoshMan07 @nin10doland Literally has a dictionary definition with weight. Just because you dislike its usage doesn’t take away from its meaning. It means there was a LITERAL threat called in. Not some tweet online, not a random passing phrase, a literal threat meant to harm.
English

@Eliza_Artz @JuniThePuny @TheJoshMan07 @nin10doland Have you ever heard anyone over the age of 17 use the word “literally” like that? It’s extremely immature and undermines the whole point he’s making.
English

I’m not one to ever take issue with anyone but @nin10doland dude this is really not it and severely insensitive.
A literal bomb threat was made to a lot of peoples’ working establishment and to just make a thumbnail like that is in extremely poor taste
Do better

English

@TaiDawg @ralsrags @getonthestiix You blocked me because you have no idea how this works and you’re offended someone corrected you? I guarantee I have more experience than you on working with Unreal Engine’s rendering pipeline, you sound like a consumer with no idea how it works and just blame it on the engine
English

@TaiDawg @ralsrags @getonthestiix Exactly. Those games aren’t tailored AT ALL. They use UE’s rendering pipeline as is and don’t change it to fit their games. Like I said, if the devs tailor the engine and pipelines, it can work out great and not have those problems. You’re just going in circles here
English

@TaiDawg @ralsrags @getonthestiix That literally is how it works… An engine is just an engine, you have to optimize it for the specific usage for the game. I’ve done engine work with ue5, specifically for rendering and streaming assets/textures
English

@TaiDawg @Nexflare @ralsrags @getonthestiix Have you even worked in unreal engine? It’s one of the easiest engines to modify the source code and bypass the pipelines with custom code. You can scrap most of the advanced features causing the issues with any experienced rendering devs
English

@CloudSt1313 @getonthestiix The only thing bad with ue5 is all the raytracing, lumen, megalights, etc. which Nintendo obviously isn’t going to use here. They’re just using it as an engine and heavily modifying and optimizing the rendering and streaming specifically for the switch 2.
English

@getonthestiix The problem isn’t unreal engine it’s specifically ue5. Unreal engine is usually fine
English

@TaiDawg @ralsrags @getonthestiix Well now I know you’re just arguing in bad faith lol. Any engine can make great games. Nintendo has already used UE to great avail
English

@TaiDawg @ralsrags @getonthestiix It only sucks when you have devs that don’t tailor it specifically for their game
English

@NintyPrime Maybe the game. The trailer surely doesn’t show that, like I said.
And more of a linear story, I’m sure, but BotW and TotK still have a lot of content and story throughout.
English

@johnnnytomm There is more story in this game then BoTW and ToTK combined.
English

Genuinely didn't really see any hate for the game?
Mario World Fun Zone@MarioWorldFun
This game doesn’t deserve the hate it gets.
English

@TheInfiniteLink @mikables2 @younghavok Right… so because two small games didn’t absolutely kill it, Nintendo is a flop? You’re ignoring literally all the rest of their games that are having great sales.
English

@johnnnytomm @mikables2 @younghavok Ah yes the most recent report that showed tennis slop sold how much exactly? Or prime 4? The only one that gets a pass is apparently hyrule warriors cuz koei reports on it. And yet we already know it sold less than the last game and they haven't reported any milestone since
English

Nintendo carrying the industry? Oh yeah, it’s Thursday.
IGN@IGN
The best-selling video games on Amazon right now are all Nintendo exclusives. bit.ly/4wzDGRu
English

@TheInfiniteLink @younghavok I will claim niche because all previous sales data and expections point to that. On and off development doesn’t mean that much money was put into it. I NEVER said it was a wild success, but of course you have to pretend like I did to make your comment make any sense
English

@johnnnytomm @younghavok You can claim niche all you want. It was still in development for damn near a decade after having to restart. That money doesn't go away. And im sure no corporation is gonna be looking at their newest games doing worse than their previous one as being successful lmao
English

@NintyPrime Fair, but I’m not a fan of warrior style games in the first place. If reviews were good I would have gotten it to see more of the Wild era storyline.
Also trailers for this game literally showed me nothing lol. It was the same warrior gameplay and almost no story
English

@johnnnytomm Don’t need strangers to help me decide if a game is for me. Trailers are enough.
English

@JakethesnakeTal @younghavok They can’t? Then how would you explain the fastest selling console of all time, greatest first year of sales for a console, and great numbers for their large releases? Nintendo is killing it while the economy continues to burn to the ground
English

@younghavok Nintendo cant even carry its own industry let alone gaming
English

@TheInfiniteLink @mikables2 @younghavok Nowhere to be seen? You mean you’re just ignoring their official sales reports where they’re absolutely killing it?
English

@mikables2 @younghavok Their sales are nowhere to be seen cuz ninty didn't report on them. And they didn't report on them cuz they failed to do a million aka flopped and why some are $50 now. There is no rule to have to play a game to form an opinion on it 😂, especially when it costs money to play
English

@TheInfiniteLink @younghavok Literally nothing has flopped lol. MP4 is the closest, but they never had high expectations for that niche series
English

@younghavok And all it took was for their slop to flop at $70 to realize their games should be at $50
English
