Any online courses/materials for a 10 year old who really wants to learn how to program? Either in english, polish, or portuguese? He already did a Scratch course and we are doing Lego SPIKE together on weekends. Maybe it is time for actually writing code? Suggestions?

@bcardarella @elixirlang "yes" for me but... MVP seems a bit loaded here. It's been years since I've built a thing needing a "visual" UI/UX. My MVPs don't have that constraint. Either they run in the bg, CLI, or via API Would think MVPs that are heavily dependent on UI/UX might have a different answer

There's tons of evidence that @elixirlang optimizes the last 20% of app building. The *really* hard problems to solve are cake. But... Do you feel that the @elixirlang stack is faster to build an MVP than in other stacks? If not, please reply why.(or DM) #myelixirstatus

@sprsmpl @mattdarby Congrats! I'm kinda treating it similar to my diet. Not going vegetarian, but cutting back on meat consumption. Trying to make sure the quality of meat is better, local smalll farms when I can. Taking a similar approach to alcohol. Maybe not perfect but It's just my approach

@mattdarby @johnny_rugger I'm 4 years sober and I've found Heineken 0.0 to actually be really delicious. Sometimes it's good to go to a bar and have a "beer" but also be able to drive.

I miss drinking sometimes. I’m not an alcoholic but I stopped. Sometimes I wonder why. It’s a fantastic way to waste time.

@mattdarby My son & I started snowboarding this season. Really we started learning over the summer at an indoor training center. We've been going almost every weekend since the season opened at the end of October. Between that, the gym, & school, I'm finding lots to do haha

@johnny_rugger It’s been 18 months for me. I don’t miss it but miss having “something to do”. No bars, etc and life becomes stale quick.

@mattdarby To be honest, I've cut a lot of things out in the last 6 months or so that don't move the needle in the direction I want to go. Maybe it's feeling time slip away, I don't know

@mattdarby I don't drink much anymore either. I stopped completely for months & now only occasionally have a drink or two. I find that I have way more time to do shit. I also lost 30+ pounds so there's that too

For those interested, and frankly for those uninterested because that's how this works, I'm officially getting back to earning my Anthropology degree. It's been a goal of mine for years with a focus on Cultural Anthropology. That is all for now

Is it just me or has this cesspool... um, site, gotten worse the last couple weeks? Ads were bad enough, although they seem to have increased too, but now noticed the last several "people" that have followed me are obvious bots. Logged in this morning & had like 5 bots follow
