"When President Xi very elegantly referred to the United States as perhaps being a declining nation, he was referring to the tremendous damage we suffered during the four years of Sleepy Joe Biden... But now, the United States is the hottest Nation anywhere in the world" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸

@MarcNixon24 Generally, Canada has lower residential electricity rates than the US, largely due to a high reliance on "paid-off" hydroelectric infrastructure, which provides stable, cheap, and clean baseload power. However, the cost comparison varies significantly by region.

Pierre Poilievre slams Mark Carney’s plan to electrify Canada. The same plan they’ve been doing for the last decade. Mark Carney’s going to bankrupt this country
Beautifulcanada1@BeautifulCana1

BREAKING - Speaking in Vaughan Ontario, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre says under the Carney Liberal government, for the first time in Canadian history, Canada had an electricity shortage and had to import American electricity just to keep the lights on.

As of May 2026, Donald Trump has addressed high inflation and energy costs by blaming geopolitical conflicts—specifically the "Iran War" and disruption in the Strait of Hormuz—for price surges, while promising that his policies of energy deregulation and potential federal gas tax pauses will ultimately reduce costs. His administration has promoted an "America First" energy policy, even as critics argue his policies, including tariffs and potential environmental regulation rollbacks, contribute to increased costs for energy and goods.

So along with the spike in food bank demand, we also have a spike in food theft. These are not the signs of a healthy economy. Those at the bottom end of the income scale are struggling the most while house-rich boomers in Toronto and Vancouver pretend not to see it.
The Food Professor@FoodProfessor

We estimate that nearly $10 billion worth of food is now stolen annually from grocery stores across Canada — almost three times more than just two years ago. That’s roughly $2,000 per grocery store, per day.

Caused by Donald Trump. +6 As of May 2026, data shows that U.S. consumer prices have risen at their fastest rate since 2023, with significant increases in energy and food costs, driven partly by conflict in the Middle East and inflationary policies. Here is a breakdown of the current economic situation based on reports from May 2026:Rising Energy and Food Costs: Inflation hit 3.8% in April 2026, with surging energy costs, particularly gasoline, accounting for nearly half of the increase. Gasoline prices reached their highest level since July 2022, averaging $4.50 per gallon.Impact on Grocery Bills: Food prices have increased 3.2% over the past year. Meat, produce, and shipping costs have been impacted by higher fuel surcharges, leading to higher prices at the grocery store.Impact of Middle East Conflict: The war in Iran and the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz have caused a surge in oil prices, affecting transportation and fertilizer, which in turn drives up food production costs.

Who the hell is living in Canada right now thinking that the 11th year of liberal destruction is all Trumps fault? The losers that don’t realize he’s only been in power for a year. Wake up…it’s not Trumps fault

As of mid-May 2026, Nanos Research tracking indicates a significant lead for the Liberal Party of Canada under Prime Minister Mark Carney, who assumed office in March 2025. Following a period where the Conservatives held a strong lead in 2024, the political landscape shifted dramatically in early 2026

And all Carney’s gotten in a year are spy cars for Canadians to drive 🙄🇨🇦 Trump wants to help USA and secure peace around the world-only president to have the balls to fight Iran rather than pay them off 🤔

Yes, Canada generally has lower residential electricity rates compared to the United States, although this varies significantly by region. While some American cities are competitive, major Canadian provinces—particularly those with high hydroelectric capacity—offer electricity at a fraction of the cost found in many U.S. states.

Doug Ford cut OSAP grants from 85% to 25%. His justification: students were abusing the system. New data shows that was not true. Here’s what actually happened: Ontario colleges became completely dependent on international student tuition revenue. When the federal government FINALLY cut international student permits, the colleges lost their cash flow overnight. Ford needed to bail them out. So he slashed student grants. Then RAISED tuition. And blamed the students. Ontario students from low-income families now get 75% of their aid as loans instead of grants. This means more debt & less support. All to bail out institutions that Ford’s own government failed to regulate. He blamed the kids for the problem the system created. He’s not a real Conservative.

China Cant be beat. Yes, reports from early 2026 indicate that BYD is developing a "megafactory" in Zhengzhou, China, that covers roughly 50 square miles (over \(130\text{ km}^2\)), making it larger than the city of San Francisco, which is roughly 47 square miles. This massive facility is designed to act as an industrial city rather than just a factory. youtube.com/shorts/r6IcR6q…

+6 As of early 2026, President Trump has repeatedly stated he does not want automobiles imported from Canada, aiming to boost U.S. manufacturing by promoting, "We don't need cars made in Canada, we want to make them here". He has threatened 25% or higher tariffs on Canadian vehicles and declared the CUSMA trade deal "irrelevant".
