Sometimes Mikel gets things wrong. Not playing Myles at CM earlier was one of them. But a big trick I believe he has missed is Martinelli at CF, and there were countless opportunities he could have trialled it. Wherever he goes I'm convinced he will score goals at CF.

@FootballEra_ In as much as I’m the biggest critic of Zubi, what he does on the field is Mikel’s football policy. The coach instructs his players to pass the ball to the player infront of him, and not turn with the ball then pass. Reason why Mikel is always drafting Zubi to the team.

The difference between Myles Lewis-Skelly receiving passes in midfield and Martín Zubimendi receiving is staggering. When MLS receives the ball, he does it with the intention of progressing play vertically between the lines. His first instinct is always to look for receivers higher up in pockets. His high technical level also makes him extremely press-resistant, he can beat pressure with just a simple shoulder drop. Zubimendi is the opposite of this.
