@LG3669094280745 @bkaplan100 @MoEgger 2025 and 2026, India has hit .227 while making a combined $13M. McLain has hit .216 making a little over $3M combined. They’ve both been bad but given the money difference I guess I’d take McLain.

Ke'Bryan Hayes is simply miscast. He's a good field/no hit guy who's primary asset is undermined by the fact that he plays the infield position that's the least-involved & who's biggest weakness can't be hidden or compensated for due to the offensive deficiencies everywhere else

@LG3669094280745 @MoEgger Small market teams have much less room for error. When a small market GM consistently signs players to somewhat large contracts, and those players don’t contribute to the team’s sucesss, that’s a problem.

@johnpwhitmer @MoEgger The Reds problems are way beyond KeBryon Hayes. Easy to pick on but was Hayes supposed to carry the Reds to the Playoffs??? We traded away Jonathan India because Matt McClain was going to be so much better.... Oh yeh Brady Singer we got for India.....

@LG3669094280745 @MoEgger The Reds do not have the luxury of paying someone $7M per year to be a late inning defensive replacement. It was an asinine signing at the time and looks even worse now.

@MoEgger But Hayes was never meant to be a regular. If Geno Suarez was healthy he would be playing 3B. Or Stewart would be playing 3rd. Hayes is a late inning defensive replacement....

On the topic of Winged Foot, this statue celebrating the club’s centennial anniversary is one of my favorites anywhere. What are some other iconic statues and landmarks at clubs?

@jeffventura @Cernovich I’ve had a backyard trampoline for 12 years. 3 kids. No injuries, hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Great purchase.

@Cernovich Good friend is an ER doc. He says backyard trampolines are a major source of patient influx in the summer months. He does not let his kids play on them.

Jon Rahm is the individual winner of the LIV season!!! $18M prize. How many hours of LlV golf did you watch this year? The sport being split is so bad. There just isn’t enough air for this many leagues to breathe.

FINAL: Chiefs 26, #Bengals 25 Cincinnati certainly looked like the team you thought they would be to open the season. They felt like the better team today. Between scoop-and-score fumble and fourth-and-16, blew one that was in the bag. Any way you cut it, 0-2 again.

@kingcase30 @RyderCupUSA @XSchauffele Morikawa is second on the Tour in approach play, fourth in total tee to green. He finished 6th at the Tour Championship with a 61 and a 64. He was a no brainer pick. Playing horribly today.

@forever_redman @NUCLRGOLF All six guys got to each pick a player to make the team? I’ve never seen that mentioned. Clearly they had input. What Zinger did in 08 looks great because they won. Zach looks to be doing something along the same lines. No one had any input in 14 and they got destroyed.

@johnpwhitmer @NUCLRGOLF Looks like… The top eight players on the Ryder Cup Points List with 4 Captain’s pics and he let them pick 3 out of 4. Tiger was injured. 2023 seems like a democratic process where 6 guys made it and they all got to add their guys. My point is that it better work…

🚨🇺🇸👀 #NEW: Zach Johnson was asked about the involvement of a LIV golfer being on the team: “The only thing that was said about Brooks with the guys — specifically the top six that made the team on their own merit — was, ‘We want Brooks Koepka to play for Team USA’. (Via The AP)

@forever_redman @NUCLRGOLF Azinger let the guys already in the pods make the picks to complete the pods in 08 and it was genius. ZJ gets input from the players in 23 and he’s a doofus. Make it make sense.

@NUCLRGOLF Capt Zach better hope his “let the top 6 pick the team” approach towards “leadership” works out.

In April 1979, a White House photographer snapped a picture of President Jimmy Carter chasing away a rabbit from his boat on a Georgia lake. This might seem inconsequential, but it added to Carter's challenges during his presidency. He was already dealing with issues like inflation, the Iran hostage crisis, and falling popularity. During a short holiday near his Georgia residence, Carter went fishing on the lake. While paddling, a "killer rabbit" swam towards his boat. Carter used his paddle to ward it off. The White House photographer captured this amusing moment. However, the media made a big deal out of it. Late-night shows and gossip magazines portrayed Carter as weak, questioning how he could protect the country if he couldn't handle a rabbit. As the 1980 re-election neared, this incident further weakened Carter's image. Later that year, the Iranian revolution led to the hostage crisis, and Carter's rescue mission failed. This failure reinforced the perception of his weakness. When the 1980 election came, Carter faced Ronald Reagan, who exploited Carter's image problems to win by a large margin. This marked a shift in American politics as Reagan reversed many of Carter's reforms. In a later interview, Carter clarified that the story was exaggerated. The rabbit was fleeing from hounds, and its ability to swim surprised many. This incident showcased how perceptions affect politics, all from an unexpected rabbit encounter.

Think we collectively tend to forget that it’s a Ryder Cup team, not just the 12 best players. All teams need cohesion, each player a role. With that in mind, been wondering for a month who might best fit in a partnership with Brian Harman. Maybe Lucas Glover is that guy.
