@DavidBegnaud At least they answered… I called 911 once to report a fire starting up and all I got was a busy signal. Never got through to them.

Tonight, I called 911 in Los Angeles to report an erratic driver who was blowing through red lights, racing other cars, and speeding recklessly through a neighborhood where the limit is just 35 mph. It took 9 minutes and 27 seconds before I was connected to the LAPD. That response time is not only unacceptable—it’s dangerous.

Not sure what it is about vintage blue #Volkswagen vans but this is the second one I have seen survive the fires in Los Angeles. Every single thing around them burned… but the blue Volkswagens survived. #EatonFire

The owners of this home on McNally Ave in #Altadena told us they had 23 motorcycles inside that all burned… including some rare Ducatis. All you can see now are the charred tail pipes. #EatonFire #Ducati

Block after block after block of utter destruction here in #Altadena from the #EatonFire. I just can’t process yet how destructive this fire was. Neighborhoods are a monochromatic hell scape. Some of the only color I could find were the citrus trees with fruit still hanging on.

The Altadena Community Church steeple has just crumbled to the ground. What’s worse is the Chevron station next door can’t shut off its pumps with 15,000 gallons of fuel in the tanks. St Marks Episcopal has also burned to the ground #EatonFire @kcalnews

@Wallyrus51 @kcalnews Many of the trees did burn as did homes along there. But many trees also survived from what I could see around 1pm

@johnschreiber @kcalnews Can you or anyone tell me if the massive Deodars on Santa Rosa (aka Christmas Tree Lane) have survived?? I lived there for a year when my family first moved back to CA. Christmas was magical with all the trees lit up and the neighborhood all decorated.

@SoCalOSINT @BHScanner Company policy says 40 knots on the ground. It was well over that at Van Nuys last night. At higher altitudes where we would sit it was 70 knots or more

@burgiemike @kcalnews @JohnSchrieber It burned and is pretty much destroyed. It didn’t catch the pumps on fire and the canopy and mini mart are still standing but very burned.

@SoCalOSINT @BHScanner Even us media were given clearance by secret service to fly in the outer ring yesterday but it was incredibly unsafe to do so and we were grounded for the whole night

@BHScanner Media wasn't allowed up in the airspace yesterday because of the TFR. They tried doing water drops when they could, but the winds were so intense that tankers/choppers were grounded.

@BHScanner This isn’t true… firefighting aircraft were grounded because the winds were 70, 80, 90 mph. Also, the TFR language exempts law enforcement, fire and other emergency aircraft. This airspace restriction follows any president anywhere in the country regardless of political party.

The Altadena Senior Center is burning to the ground. Firefighters say the fire hydrants up here are dry and they have to keep driving elsewhere to refill their tanks and come back up to continue the fire fight. The famous Christmas Tree Lane also on fire. #EatonFire #Altadena
