@johnshiles I’ve experienced something like this - hired one person, but another person showed up for work and was the lesser programmer. It was a remote hire and I think they hoped I wouldn’t notice they looked different.
@jeremyphoward This person did the same for Germany. School has reopened in many parts. Our lived experience right now and it’s compulsory.

I've been analyzing the UK covid data and I've just discovered something shocking.
Cases in chidrens in England have just smashed all-time highs. Nearly double what they've ever been before. And rising VERY rapidly.
Schools are about to reopen. With far fewer restrictions.
@fulhack I prefer py files, but for one-offs or heavy exploration, the notebook is often faster and nicer to share an insight. Even then I still like to put a lot of my code in a py file to make the end notebook easier to read. Editing those py files in a notebook editor is not so nice.

@mani_shah@jonathansen I’ve forgotten that dogs in a public spaces like restaurants and transit are not always allowed. Where I am currently living it is common and it works, or at least I have never seen or heard of an issue.

An abundance of high quality and cheap digital entertainment = a lot less young men working. Excellent piece by Andrew Cortina.
