A great story of missing buoys at sea saved through the @NOCnews partnership with the @metoffice. This really nice blog gives an insight both into the challenges of observing at sea and the importance of marine observations for our weather predictions.

Timely therefore that last night the @APPGOcean and @NOCnews hosted a parliamentary reception to mark #WorldOceanDay2023. Without world leading science we cannot address the climate emergency. #OceanActionIsClimateAction

"Happy" #WorldOceanDay everybody. Sea surface temperatures are raging and we are getting closer and closer to the threshold 1.5oC above preindustrial air temperatures. Time to remember the importance of the #Ocean and #OceanScience for a sustainable and safe future for all.

I also had the opportunity to visit the @CCAP_Oban facilities. We all love a test tube!!

Returning home from the beautiful #Oban with colleagues from @PlymouthMarine. We've been at @SAMSoceannews for the @CLASS_UKRI annual science meeting with my colleagues @NOCnews and @thembauk. Great bunch of folks from the marine research community discussing #ocean #science.
